Brush head help

Help Support WCF:

Brilliant, i only have a couple of years at wfp. So i look forward to seeing what you make of it.

I got a new phoenix x 22 the other day, and its my first day back tomorrow after 2 weeks off, but i think i will use the tecbuk only on my slx 25 as the clamps have alot more bite on the slx, i dont want to wear the new phoenix out too soon, so will only use a gardiners hybrid superlite on the phoenix.

Any make or type of water fed pole should be strong enough keir, the brush weight and parts will be around 10% -15% of the typical 2.5kg of applied pressure the pole will have to absorb when cleaning.

Scrubbing ground floor windows, you will at times be applying over 7kg of pressure to some windows when cleaning.

Yeah it can take it no worries but the slx is a robust bugger, i find using a swivel neck with the tecbuk on the phoenix is just putting undue pressure on its likkle clamps lmao

Has to be the Gardiners Extreme, nothing else quite compares!

Important: Fit your extreme with a bumper protector as they last 3 times longer !

I did but now I need something to protect the bumper protector! Thinking maybe some duct or hockey tape for next one.

I cant get on with the bumpers, and preferred the older style extremes,

Stick some wide fan jets in a tecbuk hybrid, stick that on an slx 25 equals amazing combo. Rinsing on the glass, saving loads of time and water.

I cant rinse on the glass with pencils just not enough water to prevent brush marks being left behind, fans on a extreme doesnt work great because there's not enough bristles to contain the amount of water that is being dealt out that fans produce.

My wfp world has been revolutionised with the tecbuk plus wide fans

haha nce one keir new u would luv the tecbuk but on a gardener pole????? ide rather have it on a pheonix mch quicker u will save more time again!!!!/emoticons/wink.png:cool:

I dunno tench!!! That slx is so bloody stiff. I'll try it in the next day or so, do you use a swivel neck or is it rigid?

Well my tecbuk turned up today first impressions are a very well made brush, I like that the bristles are glued in, will be fitting it to my unger aluminium pole and testing ASAP just need to get some jobs for next week lol

Is the tecbuck hybrid brush any good for doing conny roofs- opaque poly carbonate? With all these debates I'm lost and nervous about buying a new brush. I was going to get the gardiner medium mixed sill brush,as has three ticks on their brush guide for doing conny roofs and good for cleaning gutters. I only have one brush gardiner medium mixed dt, been just as they have promoted it, as a good all round brush.

I’m glad you got your order ok camcap.

Windsurfer - Yes you can use Tecbuk brushes for conserve roofs, although I wouldn’t recommend you badly soil your maintenance clean brush doing a dirty conser roof, then go off to do your next regular window cleaning job with a dirty brush.

Generally the maintenance clean brush uses Polyester monofilament (The Tecbuk maintenance clean Hybrid brush is 85% Polyester, 15% Boars Hair) the brush bristle type best used for a conser roof clean would preferably be a Nylon monofilament or Boars Hair. If it’s self cleaning glass use a 100% Boars Hair brush.

@Richard, i fitted some fan jets to your hybrid yesterday. Its took me two days to learn and start getting used to the idea that on some glass your claims of no rinsing actually works and rinsing on the glass works a treat, absolutely loving it.

But finding some glass awkward but only down to the shear amount of water being put out by the fans, but its just a case of changing technique. After collecting tonight all the windows look spotless, and even the panes i struggled a little with ended up perfect.

Thank you Richard for the tips:thumbsup:

That’s good to hear keir, habits can be hard to change; trying new things and changing your cleaning method is all it takes.

Remember to keep an eye on your speed of cleaning, 100% Polyester & Hybrid brushes can be used incredibly fast, so your hourly rate should be increasing, you’ll love that more than my Hybrid brush

Ah right, yeah with a rigid resi neck on the phoenix and tecbuk there wont be a prob, but the swivel neck in my experience with the phoenix the clamps struggle not to spin with a heavier brush, but my old phoenix was pretty badly worn so i'm probably doing it a dis service. On a lighter brush i.e superlite the swivel is friggin brilliant. I accidentally forgot to put the swivel on the other day and struggled a bit and thought i was having a ''bad'' day then realised, stuck the swivel on and all was well, i think once you use one its hard to go back.

As for the slx, cant comment on the 22 i have only got experience with the 25, but the 25 is A LOT more rigid than the phoenix 22. Also it seems that what would need four extensions on the Phoenix the Slx needs 2 and the clamps aren't so bad once you get used to them

i no wat u mean about the bite the facelift clamps defo strugle on the bite side of things i may c if i can borrow my m8s slx for a day if he will let me:eek: an ill give him my pheonix to compair an c if i get used to them !!
