Getting back on topic, I have not had chance to send any out recently been pretty busy. Will defo try and start getting these sent out very soon though.

I would agree with everyone. When I was cleaning I would get several raised eye brows when I said what I did. People just don't think its a real job. I didn't care though i loved it that's all that mattered.

I love that people don't think it's a proper jobHad a row with some guy at my driving job saying " it's not a skilled trade is it"

I said do you clean your windows..**** that I don't like heights and always just make a mess anyway..

Not a skill..leave it out sunshine:rofl:
At least when your a windie the work will never dry's up (pardon the pun)/emoticons/biggrin.png

to pull yourself above the level of making a so-so living at window cleaning does take much effort . took me 3 yrs

The guy I used to sub off had 10 full time windies doing 20 quid of work an hour and only paying them £10 an hour and me and another guy subbing £200 a day each for 20% so was making himself 100 per hour plus 80 a day between us 2 subbing but took him 20+ years to get that big..

Then sold up to have an easy life

shows that hard graft works

I miss having £160 a day without the aggro of all the admin side and canvassing but I know with a bit of hard work I will be ok

after he sold up.whats he doing now ?

He is a plumber now.

Waited till he was in his 50's then changed career

Apparently was going to college in the evenings while running company

Here is a quick first attempt, thoughts please. Not sure what to put on it or how it should be worded but needs to appeal to the old timers who probably would not even think to look for a forum online as well as the noobies who have either just started or are thinking to.Quality in this pic is not great as saved the image from a publisher file.

I would stick something like that on my van - but I think is too descriptive - contains a lot of info ...

For example I am a big fan of Honda accord and join the Accord Owners Club - the forum owner have free stickers to promote his forum . The sticker is small and it only says Accord owners club and the website . I got one for my classic 1987 EX accord .

I might be wrong but less is more

Yes the sticker thing is good for others but not so much for here. Would you want all your customers seeing the sticker and popping in.

I tried promoting the site today, a guy stopped and said to me, Ive got the same as you- referring to my daqua trolley and slx25, I mentioned the forum and the useful advice. Hopefully he will try and have a look, as he said its all trial and error, wfp, as only done it for a year, maybe he will have a look on the forum:)

Right i am going to get soe of these sent out. I have edited the colour of the orange text as was not great. Here is a pdf of it if you feel so inclined to print and hand to windies you meet! ;)
