I think it depends where you live. I'm on the south coast. That is a typical post 2000 detached house. I charge £10-12 as it's 15 minutes work and explain it's a first clean so it will be £15.

If you lose the customer then your only losing £8 for a lot of work /emoticons/smile.png

£12 I would charge if she was going to be regular.

And a quote for the drive /emoticons/tongue.png

Did a little time with a company called clearview based in ashby, on all his first cleans he used a chemical added to water in a bucket then we dipped our brushes and scrubbed the whole window this stuff lathered up like nothing you've ever seen but washed off very quick and did a fantastic job, he never once revealed what this stuff was , he said it was his secret weapon ?????
secret weapon alright quick pee in bucket dirty dog

you can say what you want eh

There is a "millionaire" window cleaning forum who's members are let's say "slightly economical with the truth" who would laugh at this, I have no clear policy for pricing my scale is constructed on a "get what you can" method, if I could get 12 quid for this job for waving a pole about then so be it and it's another job in another road so possibly more potential work

Regarding pricing at the end of the day it's how much you feel the job is worth in time, effort and risks involved to do the job properly. However it is so easy for cleaners to under price work when they don't have too just because they are frightened of loosing it.

Anyone can be a busy fool everyday but I myself prefer to work smarter not harder so don't sell my services on price alone.

Agree with smurf, I have a minimum price for jobs, but other than that I weigh every job up on the spot pretty much taking all the factors into consideration.

I'm stashing cash at the moment for my Van and Pure water unit @Smurf . I'm aiming to kick off in February/March. I'm not keen on bank loans and being in debt and I want to have some cash left to give myself a month or so to cover my half of the bills. So i'm trying to save a grand a month. (Currently living like a bored Monk)

Nice one

I have the same attitude as yourself Parky. After saving long and hard I've got the funds for my new ford ranger and a new system. Waiting until after Christmas as there should be better deals out there.

How can you sleep at night @J D as your mattress must be more lumpy than mine now /emoticons/biggrin.png

I'm of the view @J D that if you're starting up its hard enough for the first few months? I don't want to be thinking about bank loans if I can help it.

My other halfs been amazing. She's helping me too. I do want to start now, just got to be patient I suppose.

It always helps when the missus is on board

I wanted to start back up for ages after over 6 years off it and having definite income monthly

Thought i would have a fight on my hands with her indoors but she totally agreed and said she can tell i haven't been happy for the last 6 years at work

She told me "get your ar se out there and get some work then"

She must have faith in me as my full time job ends in a couple of days and she is happy for me

Why don't you get a cheap trolley system and get out there now parky?

Pay for your van a bit quicker
