Alright fellas, I'm after a big squeegee for doing shop fronts. I know I could just buy a big channel for my ettore handle, but I was wondering if there was anything better out there. I read something about the normal channels not being stiff enough? Any recommendations or linkies appreciated.

I have one with no make written on it

got it from turners before they closed..all brass handle and channel and works a treat

Downside is sometimes I notice the channel is slightly bent and have to give it a tweak

i use a Pulex Alumax channel + squeegee for shop glass and it works well, with just enough flex to hold the surface .

That looks really good mate. Not a bad price too. I was looking at the ninja, and the sorbo, but I reckon that pulex might steel the show. The sorbo looks like it needs special rubbers, which I cant be arsed with if that's the case.

what size are you thinking of?

I already have a 16 which used to be my main squeegee, but I've switched to a 14 for most domestic. What size do you use for most domestic? Just want one for those really big shop windows as I have my eye on a few places. Might pick up a few channels anyway. I reckon I'm going to pull the trigger on the pulex.

domestic i use a 12 or 14 incher . i find the 18 is really big by comparison . on older big plate glass it works well, but on modern big glass which is double glazed its rubbish as the big channel wont flex ,it then skips cos the modern glass flexes .

I wouldn't have thought of that, cheers. I think I might buy an 18in channel for my usual ettore handle, and get the complete Pulex as the supersize one. I live in an old town, so I think most will be plate glass, the business I have my eye on definitely is. Thanks for the help matey.

...Now what about tbars? /emoticons/biggrin.png I only use a 10 and a 14 at the moment.

I use an 18 and that is big enough for me

was looking at a ninja but not sure as I modify all my squeegees

They look like they already have an angle on but not sure it's enough

yep me love my 18 inch applicator and squeegee pulex only cheap....and i dont really look after it like i should...

does tend to give me wet elbows in the boab....since solved as i moved the boab to the front...

i do some big windows with it and its just great...but you have reminded me i must get a backup for if it starts to play up as they do from time to time...

cant you feel the force yet tolish...its calling you..

actually...there is a problem with the force....it tends to leave water everywhere...not good on shops...:rolleyes:and no....i dont want to start that war again...peace be with the hybrid cleaner...

norm not going to say anything about boars eighteen inches..../emoticons/biggrin.png

No way on the WFP mate. Hybrid maybe with a trolley though. I've even been thinking about it while doing my round, and many of the houses just wouldn't work with WFP anyway. I enjoy ladders, and I like trad tools, so going WFP would just take the fun out of it for me.

The ninjaslook goodish, but I remember seeing a bad review about them when I first started. It would be good to get to try them all out before buying.

yep...dont forget i trad check every window i know it seems daft but its just a change for me....i wont get drawn all the way into the centre of the force more around its event horizon....dont forget the old adage...you dont know till you try it..../emoticons/biggrin.png

i would really only use it if no one is in....

back to the post you do have to be careful going past the eighteen as they start to bend kink easy....as in...if your clumsy like me..and miss the boab...
