What phone do you have?

er neil...i think we should all have a sample of the camera in action...and go karting is fun...../emoticons/biggrin.png
i may not gopro just yet but....i am thinking of sticking my phone on vid and attaching it to banana....

hmmm i be cheapncheerful...so...its a galaxy flame....and i only paid £60 for it and ...it came with a free camera...which i immediately sold on amazon for £40....so a £20 smart phone...cant be bad.../emoticons/biggrin.png

Best have a look about to see if you can get a case that will fit on yer banana then. Best make sure you are able to use the camera ie has a hole/screen bit for the lens so to take vids ok.

yep i will get onto tuffersonline straight away....i need a few things...i now want a hose and reel....so i can go wandering and leave the backpack by the car and leg it back everytime it runs out..../emoticons/biggrin.png

Has your car got a towbar?

If so you could always get hold of a used cheap trailer like I did when I first started using a purefreedom trolley static before getting a van.

it hasnt at present but its certainly a good idea and worth a thought....yeh me likes that idea...the trouble is it is a high car to tax £280 last time and it needs four new tyres and new back pads.....so i have to make a decision soon....but on the plus side its never let me down....just coming up to 150000miles....and i hate change...thats why i am still married:rofl:

yep that was what i was thinking....gonna get on fleabay and have a look...

really, a good supply of pure would be heaven...

back to the camera theme....i also want to fit a dash cam....as some of the sites on the way to work are really funny.....not.....

Alot of insurance companies internationally now like drivers to have cameras fitted to their vehicles.

I wonder why?

And yes you can use a gopro for this too but don't leave it mounted in full view whilst the vehicle is unattended as is a good chance it won't be there when you get back./emoticons/biggrin.png

Glad to hear it bud as is certainly an eye opener for me how things can quickly go wrong seeing those sort of vids.

me and the wifey both enjoyed that vid ta smurf...makes you think...nah i was thinking more of a cheap one off tuffersonline:rofl:

and of course...depending what type i get ...i could always strap it onto banana....anyway a few banana vids would cheer us all up i am sure...especially holding it horizontally on full extension...

how long is the longest post smurfy..its okay gav cant see small print..mind you..neither can i..

I have an old banana too (well an old fiberglass red one) that I use for shorter gutter surveys upto 2 storey.

Looks the part don't you think with that case mount on the pole too?:D

View attachment 2934

I've left the strap a bit loose so can move the phone case wherever I want it without it sliding down the pole;)

yeh with you on that....cant waste good kit...and your right if you are going to charge you must look the part with the hat and coat and all the kit...

i am listed as roofman somewhere...although i dont get a lot of work from it as i dont even know where its listed i get the odd job come in...

one such job was on a real posh road...he wanted me to cement up all the cracks in the mortar adjacent to the roof tiles..i said i could do it for £135 all around his house....but....

i did explain...it will crack again with in about ten years...of course i should have kept my mouth shut and not told him the truth..but i didnt particularly want the job to be honest..why will they crack...roofs always move about with thier mass and the heat cold they suffer takes its toll no matter what you do....

he got the job done by sandbach roofing...scaffold all around...only a bungalow...but you can bet your life it was dear....

cheap is not what some people want...they want reassurance and quality...oh....it will still start cracking within ten years....cant stop nature..

so a bit late in the day...i am listening mr smurf....and i will keep my mouth shut in the future..

a bit like my friend peter ...he got the job to completely line and insulate the garage over the road....i pointed out to him that the roof was leaking under heavy rain...he just carried on and said...well when he asks i will quote him for a new roof....

no wonder there is mold growing on the joints.../emoticons/biggrin.png

That's all part of the game to win premium price work bud as doing so will set yourself apart from the rest /emoticons/wink.png

Mind you a website at the mo might help too as mine is still down.

I may have to resort to doorknocking with me pole in hand just to impress the ladies /emoticons/biggrin.png

hmmmm... now that's got me thinking as I suppose whilst out door knocking you could offer a free rain gutter health check which could possibly generate loads of new work there and then.

that is a top idea for your gutter cam....real cracker smurfy...i did think if i got low on work i would do a free roof survey from the gutters but the gutter cam idea is great as you can just show them there and then....yep wheres me winner rating....

i do have quite a few gutter clearout/cleans in my sights which if pushed for work would get a leaflet through as they obviously need doing but i am really too busy trying to make all my custys happy at the mo...hey you have just converted me to look into this gutter cam pro cam....its a wee bit of an expense but....a free survey...a lot of people like free...they dont have to even be in you could just send a clip to them as an attachment...once they see that dead bird covered in maggots they are bound to want it done...

no you cant use the same dead bird each time...
