I kept banging my head every time I went around the corner carying gear on a bloody hanging basket. When it happened the fist time I thought not to worry as I've got my hard hat on. After the fith time you would have thought I would have remember it was there. /emoticons/biggrin.png

Funny thing was I was starting to sweat so as I was packing my gear away I took it off. Then proceeded to bang my head on the van pull down pipe box lid ...Doh /emoticons/biggrin.png

I haven't tried cleaning gutters/facias/soffits using wfp as I've only just bought my backpack. Those I have done traditionally I've been charging £4 per meter to clear and wash the gutter, facia and soffit. Some baulk at the price, others swallow it, I don't give a monkeys as I know it's cheaper than the big boys and the risk of working that much higher has got to be worth it.

Its not worth doing it for anything less then £4 IMO. I just charge a set price, but it averages between 5-6 per metre. The ones that moan at the price are always welcome to do it themselves, just picture them on the ladder at gutter height with 'disco legs'.

There is a large company locally that advertise their price using wfp as £7.50 per meter for gutters, facias and soffits. Must make a note of their name and refer my customers to their website.

Yep, 80quid is a common quote banded around here for average 2-3 bed houses. But I've also had people competing for work asking for £30. I just set my price, and let them take it or leave it, but usually they take it.

I charge around 20 per side for fascia, soffits, gutters wash and 20 for clearing gutters per side give or take but there are many additionals factors which might affect the price like height, how dirty etc.

I usually charge £35 a side for a standard property with easy access ,obviously the cost goes up the more obstacles in the way

That job I mentioned earlier with the pic took me 7 hours to do today. Would have taken about an hours less if I was brave enough (stupid enough) to carry on working in a lightning storm. /emoticons/biggrin.png
