WCF

Help Support WCF:

I got in the habit of trainers in the old days of tile walking...more feeling of grip

Boots are more sensible and I pole awkward ones now..not going up on roofs to clean a poxy little window anymore

Dont blame you on that one daveyboy. Having said that, I have spent half of this afternoon on a roof clearing moss. Not a very steep one though and the boots helped...massive tread and solid ankle support

i scatter foot powder in my socks soon as its wet weather.

stops trench foot.

iv found adidas zx750 trainers keep the water out better than most and good gripping sole although no instep

I need an instep

Been wearing karrimore running trainers this summer as are the mesh type material

But usually it's a pair of nike

i think after a few years of regular ladderwork you develop a "parrots foot" where your feet claw downwards onto the rungs. iv read this somewhere and from my own experience i believe it to be true

think i also read that if you use ladders with square rungs i.e. youngman , you develop the worst type of parrots foot that ends up usually you have to seek medical help

heres another tip- safety shoes are no good for ladderwork-they LOOK as if the sole will grip great /often it says "anti slip sole " /oil resistant/anti static blah blah

but take it from me, they are absolutely lethally slippy on the rungs once the weather turns View attachment 2952

these are what i wear these days for work , my current View attachment 2954 adidas zx750 , i cant speak highly enough of them. i get a year out of a pair and theyre take a proper beating too

Oh yes.....proper leg breakers;)
I stopped wearing steelies flippin felt like ide been dragging a ball and chain at the end of the working day but they do feel safe I have yo admit.

I had a pair of these last year and in 6 months the sole peeled away from the boot , they would be fantastic boots if the build quality was better
Really? I have had the same pair for three years now and worn them on a building site, on my motorbike, almost daily in that time and with a buff up they look as good as new.

my workers all wear adidas , i pay for their shoes . the girl who works for me has adidas baseball style boots ,has had them 2 yrs now
