I am sure i read somewhere on the net about a company that charges for the survey ,unless i dreamt it :hiding:

Just remembered i did lol, then they knock the survey charge off the final bill

Nice one  did you get the bacpac too?
What's the back pack smurf? It came with the casing if that's what you mean ?

Neil its worth getting, even if only to adjust the settings with it, plus like smurf (cleaning god) says you can show the video's straight back to the customer:thumbs:

It looks good but you can show them straight through your iphone as well

You can but activating wireless on the gopro will tend to run the battery down quicker than just using the bacpac screen on the camera when need be. I found it's a lot less hassle just to have them view the camera bacpack screen but each to their own I guess as can be done either way

There are setting for the lcd screen to turn off after so long so it's not a drain on the battery when you don't need it on.

It has just accrued to me that since I've started using a gopro to inspect the inside of guttering whilst giving quotes I've won every job that I have quoted on.... Now that's a first for me /emoticons/smile.png

what if a customer asks you for a quote and says there gutters are blocked you put the cam up there and there all clear do you show them the pics or do you pretend they are blocked ? [emoji23]

Neil there is normally a good reason why they have contacted me in the first place. So I simply find out for them the cause of the problem and how it can be resolved. My quote is for checking & clearing all guttering & downspouts on the property and will more often than not water test them too. Like I've mentioned before some gutters may look clear but the downpipe could be blocked or a number of other reasons why water overflows the guttering.

Some gutter runs (even sections of one run) you may find will be clearer than others for sure but you should not quote any less for going the job.

Used the go pro for taking photos today as this house had an extension and I was not walking on the roof to check so I got my camera out and they were clear, the 2 sides of the house were not so clear! What a camera!!!

Just thought of something @Smurf I've got a high powered led torch I might stick it to the top of the camera somehow and try it out in the dark as I might get some calls to check the gutters a night lol
