Did a new clean all georgians and minging this morning in that rain..inside and out and very happy custy

To be honest it's not just the cleaning in the rain. I don't wanna get soaked through either. It's raining ere & windy & I just think its a waste of time going out. I wouldn't clean in the rain. I don't think it's fair. Plus the frames are soaked & drip. The bushes are wet. It's just my opinion & I know people clean in rain but not me. I'm sure most understand if its raining. All mine I cancelled today & they totally understood. I do put away in the summer for days like this.
The problem you can come across if you don't clean in the rain sometimes is the customers will get to expect you only on dry days which for me and being in Scotland is not financially viable, however I don't clean if rain is bouncing of window, if I've done a street in the rain one month i try to make sure its not to bad when I do them next time round.

I agree Daveyboy maybe just the mindset i was in today plus a couple of customers were not happy about it :swear: and voiced their opinions, just told em if theres a problem let me know and i will be back to sort it;-)

All this talk of work is making me feel sleepy so I'm off for a nap now :zzz::zzz::zzz:

A storm last night meant more customers wanting gutter cleans!

I have them coming out my ears at mo! Quoting all add-0n jobs at a premium price for now on, won't care if they want the jobs done or not! Quoted £30 more than my normal price for a gutter clean and the customer still says yes! I can't win really!!!!!!!!

I am quoting well for the gutters..after 2 weeks ago they're all coming out the woodwork

Tbh I didn't have much on anyway today..done 2 jobs and blew out 6

Will catch em up tomorrow. .supposedly better weather

Heavy rain = loads of gutter work.

Regarding pricing you have finally twigged then @J D /emoticons/biggrin.png

Sounds a bit like my prices except I sort of do it by how much time it takes..won't work for less than 25 quid an hour

You around tomorrow Allen??

I took photos on my phone to shoe custy but only a few bad patches. .the rest is leaves

Reckon I will charge 2 hours but she will be out tomorrow:giggle:

Yes mate I'm working but have my phone alerts on. I always charge per meter, then you have a steady price and if you can't do 6 meters in 1 hour you need a kick up the **** lol. Means you can earn 60 per hour if they not too bad and 30 if they are. On bungalows I charge 40 for standard size, and per meter if large ones. But I do use my vac with camera on now so all jobs just as quick as long as they ain't totally clogged.

I twigged on a bit late smurf! I always quoted well for add-Ons but not well enough!

I still do it the old fashioned way..ladder, pole, assorted tools such as smurfs block paving scraper tool and dirty hands:worried:

Like you daveyboy still using ladders for gutters .. I don't charge enough by the sounds of it. I clean a local hotel (windows ) ...last winter there had there yearly gutter clean by a local building company which cost them £ 450 . I was very naughty I had a quick look after there had finished , there had missed half of the muck

I really dislike these bloody cowboys

If you do a job do it proper

Especially when people are putting their hand in their own pocket to pay you like normal houses

Ripping people off seems to be the norm nowadays

Just had a call, another gutter clean job tomorrow. But on outsides /emoticons/smile.png 20 mins I recon for 40 notes then 12 for my regular window clean on top. Hope the rain is nice or my face will be wet looking up to the sky.
