New pole - help me choose

This is much closer than I thought. I was expect an out and out leader, but thats not really happened. Interesting.
Thank you for your input guys.
The slx is more robust. My old phoenix was like triggers brush after 12 months.

Slx 35 all day long mate I use it as my everyday pole and can get every single window without going to the van and swapping poles

I took my Phoenix apart yesterday to give it a good clean and was surprised at the amount of wear on some of the sections. It's about a year old.

bet you have sore arms swap to 22ft slx so much quicker , i used to use the 30ft glyder thought it was great until I went lighter

I don't think it's that heavy only heavy when it's at full length. Do you think a 22 ft pole would reach 3rd floor ?

Dry PTFE is for lubrication. Best way to clean is to strip the pole, wash inside & outside of tubes with hose pipe, wipe dry then reassemble. Best way to prevent premature wear is to wipe the pole hose with a cloth after each job as you put the pole back in van. Have a rag in your hand & pull the hose through it as you coil it back up./emoticons/wink.png

I have done exactly as Win has said, today with my old knackered CLX. I replaced the stop tape as well and this pole will be used for conservatory roofs. Nice retirement for it.

The vast majority of 3 storey in my opinion wouldnt be a problem for the slx22

I would use 22ft for most off my work then when required three storey or higher pull out the 30ft

you will see difference with weight straught away

talking of weights 22ft slx and 25ft slx got them both for every day general use

22ft the winner shorter and lighter

Yup.....I have the SLX22 and SLX35, the 22 is so much easier to use when the 35 is not required....I don't use the 35 on 'ground' and '1st floor' windows.....found it too cumbersome.

poles have x line clamps and NO glass fibre base section, not good for the h&s brigade, given a choice i would go for the phoenix, far better clamps than any other pole, enabling you to work quicker
