Foot the ladder v laddermate

WCF

Help Support WCF:

They can if they maintain it properly but like most busy ppl they don't bother until is becomes a death trap.

Makes you wonder why people have decking fitted as they cant walk safely on It for half of the year.

Ordered one of these on thursday.....looks very useful
Even if i use it below the sill it just gives me that extra bit of room to get at the window and keeps the ladder off the sill

Then when i get to the gutter jobs the microlite comes out the car

God i need a van..too much stuff now

(No skittles though cnc)

Best get a big van to start with or if like me you will soon outgrow a small van for sure especially getting into wfp work and all the other add-on services I provide. I'm finding now even an old Renault Master I bought recently seems it's now getting too small for all the kit I need to carry about. I think soon the way I'm going I will need a 7.5 ton long wheelbase box van with a tail lift./emoticons/biggrin.png

I know exactly what you mean but hot pure makes such a big difference than using cold so is a good option to have.

I've found running hot keeps my hands nice and warm too in cold weather. Also comes in handy to recalculate hot water through the boiler back into the tank help defrost the blocks of ice in it:D

Having hot on tap is handy for trad work too.

I've even been known to thaw out rock solid gutters too. Just enough to break the seal between the plastic and ice or melt it all completely.

How the hell did you get that tight **** to pay for something?

Smears means applicator too dry or too much soap or taking roo long i tty is drying on the glass

Hi Dave, its getting that happy medium, the applicator is well wet, the bottom frames has plenty water run down on it, I have a soapy bucket but do not put any more soap on the applicator. Wish I had someone near here, need to take boarcity up on his offer big time.

So is it smears from detailing in the sun or dried water from taking too long or water left on middle of glass due to rubber jumping

Bit of it all Daveyboy1, I am learning so prob take to long, as I soap up the windows and take time on first trying to get it right. detailing is fine, its like litle long lines across the window, i do notice it when i try to fan or cut across it leaves a small long line or when i chekc in doors, there smear marks like the rubber has gone over that area and not taken it away. Also I soaped up the window hard and squeegee it then chekc inside and the water marks from hose/rain are still showing the little dots of water, I need to use somthign to scrub them away.

Scottie as regards leaving lines or whatever i reckon its down to overcleaning the same windows, its the same as any job, repeat it in the wrong circumstances and you will fukup . better to wait till u get a customer mate. i hadnt ever cleaned a window when i started out ,the first i ever did was at the customers house. i had really crappy gear too, homeowners ****, made by Quickie

Same here boar

Mates dad said come to mine in the morning

I turned up he said get in the car

You can use these ladders

And it was a case of watch him and get on with it

Was roof walking from day 1 amd doing leaded etc

I think it's easier just to crack on

Don't take long to learn especially when you have to work to someone elses pace
