Use a 8mm rectus21 type end stop and hose tail. Low profile solution. Brilliant. Don't bother with hozelock and reducers with garden hose, pointless.

Mate all them fittings to me is like chinese ****** writings.

Im just lookin something to save me running about if anyone has any ideas or a method that works it would be nice to know

OK, phone cleaning spot and ask them for a 'rectus21 style hose tail and end stop' suitable for 8mm hose. You will need a couple of clips which they van also supply.

You could also ask them about a small inline hose tap to go with it.

Once you have seen the 2* small bits they send you, it will make more sense.

This is what the end stop looks like..

John39, measure the hose you have before calling your win cleaning supplier and tell them what size you need.

I have this fitting attached from pump box onto the other fitting. Why do I need another one

Well if you put this endstop at the of your hose, with the plug that connects into it on the end of your pole hose then you can disconnect it to stop the water. When you pull the plug out the water stops.

Your pole hose will news a smaller hose tail plug 5mm or 6mm.

Like I said you can add an small inline tap near the end of your hose.

You need to clarify- hose size 8mm OD can only be pole hose not reel hose. Do you have a reel? or are you using a trolley with just a length of pole hose coming from pump box direct to pole?

Unless you can clear this up no one can help you.

I have pole hose. I have no reel.

The pole hose is 8mm od it connects all the way up to the brush. Im wanting to know if anyone on this forum has a tap up near the brush. If they have is it a pain in the **** or does it work well.

But you will be wasting water bringing the pole down to turn the flow off, which defeats the whole object of you wanting to save water! You say that the hose keeps popping out of the tap yeah. What make of hose is it, is it the yellow Gardiners all season hose? That hose does pop out easily, but you can buy a John Guest barbed fitting that fits over your hose and into the tap. I would put a link up, but my son is uploading to YouTube AGAIN and has slowed the internet down to snails pace

I think what John has done is connected 30metres or so of pole hose straight from his pump box to the pole. so he effectively has a 30m pole hose.

John, what most people have is a pole hose that is just the length of their extended pole. then you have a connector to connect to your reel hose. Its best to put a connector there to keep your pole separate from the reel hose.

At that connection is where you can fit a tap to control the water. Alternatively put an AquaTap at the brush head instead.

To answer your question again buy either a aqua-dapter or aquatap or both to see which one you like best.

guys im losing lots of water running back and forth to turn of pump box.can you install a tap up at the brush so I can turn it of and on? does anyone else have this attached and how do you find it, does it work well
