Those little barb/stems will do the job mate, stop the hose pulling out the tap. I use them on my push fit connections & they never pull out accidentally. So just use one of those little push fit taps & you're sorted./emoticons/wink.png

I've recently changed my fittings to metal,as plastic didn't last. but now I can't plug the hose back into itself, so always have to keep a pole connected to stop leaks? Is that the only way or is there a stopper you can use? thanks. Hope I am not adding to the confusion too much, but it seemed an appropriate thread

I'm using the Gardiners EZ-Snap fittings and they have started to leak when connected after about a months use. I usually disconnect the fittings so I can un-ravel the pole hose.

You might find that if you push a screwdriver into the fitting where the ball bearings are, that it will pop back into position.

John39 I hope you've got your head around all this now,
