Wagtail detailing mod

This is a detailing mod for use on a pole. It works well with these unger microfiber cleaning pads as u can easily adjust it to a dry spot and the replace the pad with another every so often when the pad is totally wet or dirty. I have cleaned several times for the whole day with this but its far from perfect and i dont really recommend it, wfp is the only real pole option for quality results in my opinion, but this was fun nether the less. It works best on rectangular windows with just two vertical pulls, its real limitation is when small windows are involved or deep set frames, leaded windows, and simply windows too small for a 14" wagtail to fit into, so u need a small one also

Ive dogeared this wagtail wagga style.

The angle and nature of the pad n the detailing bar is great for a window sill wipe and u can clean the frames to a degree, u can also wrap a regular cloth around the detailing bar.

Thanks for sharing the vid....Nice one:thumbsup:

I found using a trad pole for houses was a pain in the **** and difficult to master especially on awkward access windows but safer than trying to using ladders and tile walking etc. Like many including myself wagga have gone over to the dark side so uses wfp mostly now.

It's always good to be able to do trad though when it's the most appropriate method for the job.

I think wfp ers should be able to trad and vice versa as it gives you more options depending on each job

Saying that i ain't sorted wfp yet

I agree, i use both wfp and trad, ive got lots of tools for certain situations.

Theres some roads i do where i cant wfp all the windows or at least i cant without a ladder to get up and over flat garages to do backs, so i think a bit of everything is wise. I generaly only wfp the top windows and trad bottoms, but i will whip my ladders out for roads where i need ladders for back and leave wfp at home. Its nice to have a mix i thnk, wfp a few days then ladders on other days, mix it up

And at least i know thatif i ever get to the stage where i find ladders too hard and cant cope with them i can just wfp from that point.

Just did it again..doh

Went on wintecs site to buy my first wagtail and ended up buying new rubbers new ettore 14 and 16 inch channels and handles to mod and a new squeegee holster for my belt

I will get 1 one day i promise..

I try to avoid using ladders if I can now but can't see me doing away with them altogether.

You never know if you wait long enough the new wagtail channels might be angled for less detailing /emoticons/biggrin.png
