has any one got one of these r they any good also there is no flue on it so will it get my in side of the van sticky or any thing with the fumes??? ive not got barn doors so will have to b inside of van:rolleyes:

I bought one a few years back from the states as no one sold them here at the time. Now everyone seems to be selling the bloody things /emoticons/biggrin.png

Have a word with @Njones as is very knowledgeable on the subject.

For me using hot pure on first cleans makes my job so much easier. Also you can connect it directly to an outside tap if you wanted to save on pure when doing gutters, facsia etc then just go over the glass with pure afterwards

I got 3 of them fro that price a couple of years back - ordered direct from ecotemp in the USA!

They're decent little heaters in many ways, but do require ventilation. There's no way of fitting a permanent flue to these, so its a case of leaving the back doors open. /emoticons/sad.png

Personally, if I was setting up another heated system I'd do an immersion heater,.. its simpler, more reliable, less maintenance & cheaper to install in the first place with similar running costs. There's also no worries/insurance hassles about carrying a gas bottle in the van.

I can see an immersion heater in a tank has it's own benefits up to a point @Njones. But for me I like to be able to have hot water on demand at varying temps for different cleaning tasks including using tap water too whilst I'm out and about.

I used hot water for the first time today to wash down rendered walls on park homes that had mortar splatter and builders dust on them. Must say it worked so much better than just using cold water to rinse the walls down afterwards.

this is the prob with my van i have a tail gate not barn doors other wise ide mount it on the door its self im shore it will b fing rite buy the back door

I have an l5 set up temp on my pure freedom trolley by the side loading door so when running the heater I leave the door open. I also have a bulkhead in the van so can lock all the doors whilst I'm working even the back doors. It is not really ideal but I've not been gassed yet./emoticons/biggrin.png

im guna seal the cab off with ply an silicone all also have a monoxide tester in cab just as a pracorshion /emoticons/biggrin.png

So as I have external ports & never leave my van doors open what's the best heater for me then???

Best you look for one that you can add a flu and put a vent in your roof then if you want your van locked up.

The Reach2Clean one has a flue & looks decent. Does anybody have a refillable LPG bottle & know how it compares in price to refill v getting normal LPG bottles from Calor etc?
