I use applicator and squeegee

Gently with squeegee so you don't ruin rubber then just buff it with a microfibre

I find it quicker and better than 2 cloths

Works unless leads are really thick

leads are a stumbling block- but its all in the mind. best approach is to keep telling yourself that half an hour from now theyll be done and dusted

Thisis what I do mate, but with 2cloths.The first being a big yellow microfiber(car cleaning style) and then finish off with the scrim.I keep the applicator quite dry just topping up with a bottle as i go.

me likes the leads inside the double glazing....

not saying anything but these days there is only one way to clean leads....oh i do remember the olden times with me scrim in hand scrubbing away..../emoticons/biggrin.png

I have loads of leaded windows norm and have 2 styles according to the seasons.

1) Summer/ mid to late spring/ early to mid autumn........wash window with applicator (not too wet). Wipe window with marine drying cloth. Buff with large fine weave microfibre. Keep the micro round your neck and marine cloth dangling from your back pocket as this keeps them aired.

2) Winter/ damp cold days......wash window with applicator (not to wet). Squeegee water off with old squeegee blade. Mop up with marine drying cloth. Buff with large fine weave micro.

Perfect results everytime. The marine drying cloth has been one of my greatest discoveries when it comes to cleaning leaded windows. You could have a shower and dry yourself with one of em....super dry knackers guaranteed!

how do you wash the paragons as i wasnt paying attention in class.....i had problems with leaving a dust mark when lifting off a few times of late...

just got two new packs yesterday....next day delivery offer at the mo..../emoticons/biggrin.png

being cnc i had to buy the 50 microfibres for £25 but i didnt notice the size and they are not as good as the paragon.....but....they make the best hankies....well how much would you pay for a hanky?

Just wash your paragons with a little bit of washing powder, no conditioner, basic wash....not to hot. The more you wash em, the better they get. I do think the fishscale cloths are more prone to leaving dust rather than the regular fine weave.

Gotta love the microfibre

Started using the 75p glass cleaning ones from asda as sill cloths recently.they are fine weave and are a hell of a lot better than the thick pile cheap ones that get all soggy

The asda ones have a black stip on them round the edges whick i take off and they are easy to wash under custys tap and wring out and still work fine
