On a side note...

I once got desperate for the loo and topped up my tank - cleaned much better for the rest of the day! Top tip!

I add stuff if/when required as a boost but no I don't put additives in my van tanks.

Why would anyone want to do this? Even if you wanted to add say a rainx type additive most of it will end up on the floor

Anyway as well all know self cleaning glass works so well on its own /emoticons/biggrin.png

I used to go to Birmingham every 2 months to do a 6 story office that had self cleaning glass, I only cleaned inside but the windows were bloody filthy outside , I felt odd taking money from them

Been doing it for years also add a bit of ecover for dirty cleans at the end of the brush

It would be good to see something that can make the water 'sheet' on Hydrophobic glass. That would make for improvement. This is still really a fairly new way of cleaning and maybe there is a way to improve pure water.

thanks mark for that,i thought most knew about ipa-it seems not, that was used well over four years ago-things have moved on a tad,its intresting to see the feedback and perceptions on this

I'm really not so sure about an additive... Surely somebody would have thought about it years ago if pure wasn't good enough!!!
