Pics of your belt setup.

Help Support WCF:

over the xmas break i plan to make a few small holders from leather or possibly canvas to go on my workers belts . to hold small size wagtail squeegees . this is because i dont see anything the exact right size on the market . iv already bought a pack of 150 rivets from china couple of quid
im also going to look into adapting the quick releases on my pulex boab, as original this boab hangs way too low . after seeing a vid by a MR SANCHEZ , i lashed the quick release down to base of boab to raise it all up [ you have to see vid below to see what i mean > [media]

Easy to do and a better way;View attachment 3304

So I've changed my setup a little now, but theres not an inch left on the belt for anything else. I've had a few practice runs with it,but I'll see what its like after a full day of work tomorrow if the weather picks up. Not much different from before exept I've got an and 18in and a squeegee pouch that'll let me carry a biggun 24in for shop windows when needed. This all looks like a lot although it doesn't seem to be that heavy for the options it brings. That said I'll see how I feel after tomorrow. I'm still not sure about the order I have the pouches too, but I can't think of another way to have them.

You can't see it in the pics but I pulled off the huge unger ninja sticker on the Boab. I muchprefer it all black, but it looks all bare now. Was wondering if i should get a decal made up with my business name/phone number etc, or maybe some hazard chevrones etc. hmmmm...

...think I've got too much tiome on my hands this weekend.

You should put a jubilee clip there for your little squeegee. Set up looks good, love those ettore squeegees, took me a while to get used to mine but now its my favorite squeegee by far, im tempted to get a few more sizes like u have but im gonna wait for these polzn bladz ones

Yeah, i should have waited a little while as I want one of those squeegees too. Be interesting to see what the first reviews are saying when it comes out.

How longhave u been using those ettore? I see the large ones in the boab are modified polzn blads style yeah?

Do you use the ladders like this with such a short overlap

Id be too afraid to do that.

I've been using them since I started. It would be good to get rid of that top flipswitch like the unger, but all in all they are a great squeegee and channel. I don't get on with the normal unger squeegees as they are too small for my hands, but the XL version is next on my list as they are the same size as the ettore, so should be a great squeegee.

The channells are modded as per daveyboys recomendation, and I've got to say they are nice to use. ...and great for fighting other windies. /emoticons/biggrin.png

Thats a good point, I've not tried it out on the ladder yet. But worst case scenario, I can just strip off the bottle holder as thats quick release and I can go without for the day. Although it looks like they are overlapping in the pic, its not bad once youput the belt on as they all curve round the waist. Also, the unger pouch slides over the buckle to make a little room. Its all a bit of a trial tomorrow so I'll have to see how it goes, might just end up going right back to basics, or even making a second belt for the easier houses.

I was not talking about your belt overlapping, i think thats fine, but the picture of your ladder extended up with a short overlap.

Check the link i put in my post of your ladder.

Sounds like a challenge sir

Oh I see, yep ignore that. It was taken on the first day/s I bought the ladder. I always go one round lower which is just right. The extension shown there works but it bends like a banana. Scared the sh*t out of me once I got up on it.

It's a long time now, since I did it. You drill the rivets out to release the clip. then you have to drill the BOAB and the clip, then fix it with small nuts and bolts. This way also stops the BOAB from swaying about, and it also sits higher up.
you da man ! i cant bleve iv spent 6 yrs with a dud boab and now today lifes changed. i spent a few hours this eve doing your mod on my crews boabs, here they are all ready for tmoro >View attachment 3319

I knew some good would come out of this. And I'm buzzing at the thought of using my new setup tomorrow. It makes a big difference when you get things set right for you- everything works efficiently and ergonomically.

Too true, right rubbers right mods right pouches etc

I saw a couple of chaps on saturday while i was cleaning and they said hello, must have been in their 60s, fair play to them but their tools were less than organised, the one had a boab in his hand with one regular unger 14" squeegee and a scrim over the old shoulder, they were interested in the fact i had 4 modified squeegees and never seen anything like it before.
