Could anybody help us in where we get our van drylined...we will have either a Vauxhall Vivaro or Renault Traffic. We are in the NG16 area....Also we maybe looking at doing some training before we start has any one got advice on this.Every time we call somewhere they never get back to us to book us in for the training.Yes i can teach myself but i just wanted a bit of general help.Any other help muchly appreciated...customers shouldnt be a problem i have been canvassing for 15 years...

You can paint the floor of the van in a rubber type paint such as http://www.protectakote.co.uk

Regarding ply lining you can generally buy the kits off ebay and fit them yourself, I'd also recommend insulating the van if possible, especially if it's going to be left outside all year round.

Cheers guys...i am looking for a company to do the van if anyone knows anywhere? rather than doing it myself. Can anyone recommend a training course for a beginner,,,i need to get on with this quick already have several customers already inc a pub.

As @Smurf mentioned Ionics do training, they also install in the van when purchased from them.

It's who I'll be going with when I get my van next year

What's your budget and what do you want?

They may be a tad pricey but they are quality from the research I have done. Also they do a price match.

You could always buy a kit from elsewhere, then source and pay someone to fit it.

Kit already sourced as i have said having canvassed for a good few years i have some good contacts but still struggling on a few things like a bit of training plus the van being waterproofed....

I have re-read your posts on this thread and didn't see any mention that you have already sourced your kit.

You canvassing doesn't mean you have WFP gear already?

Would travel anywhere for training...have found it hard to get any as no one ever gets bk to you...have been offered some training with a company i canvassed for so will do some wit them.Would like more than that though...do you guys think training is advisable on these courses?

Personally I think training is essential in anything we choose to do. There are far too many people out there with some knowledge of an industry and then claim they are experts, when they eventually screw up it then makes the client loose faith.

I have not been doing this for long at all, had some past experience with helping my brother and also the company he worked for whilst on leave in the army. I can hold my own and do a do a good job but training would always be a benefit as it would make me more efficient and teach me how to use the tools better.

Have you reached out to local suppliers to see if they know of any trainers? Or can point you in a positive direction?
