I have a big gutter and fascia job soon I will post pictures of the gutter guards fitted which I have never seen before

@rshandyman that sounds like fun as will be a bloody pain in the **** to do especially if the want it all put back /emoticons/sad.png

Do you have any pics what that stuff looks like?

I've done quite a few now and only had to put gutter guards back in on a couple as the rest said leave them out when I showed them it did not work and will charge extra to clean them and fit them back in as you do

I do not have any pictures but I will take some before and after.luckily for me after my explanation he wants them to be removed, good for me.I reduced my price because I do not need to put them back on as they slide under roof tiles

I hope not too much as sounds a pig of a job to me.

How did you get on?

Heres a pic of the gutter job i had today. Hes a monthly window customer of mine so I had free reign to book it in whenever, and with the weather being so good today I went for it.

Nice job tolish, dont know what the prices are in your part of the country, but in London i reckon anything between 70 and a ton for the job, depending on the state of things.

Thanks & no as they look like yanky shite to me.

Did you take any pics on what was in the guttering when you took the anglian gutter guards off?

have you ever seen guards like that?it was a big house,8 hours to take these guards out and clear gutters.

4 sides like that size property has got to be much higher than that surely?

All depends on the customer i suppose smurf, some are tighter than others, dont think many would go over a ton.

You also need to have a good reputation for doing quality work to win higher priced jobs.

A most importantly the bottle to quote high as is dangerous work as many will undersell their services.

Cheers mate. The gutters worked out at about 125 and as he is a window cleaning customer I timed it in with the monthly window clean too, so all in it was £150. It was a good days work, there was not much in the gutters, mainly just the blocked downspouts, and the facias had just been painted so that was easy to clean. Hes always been a good customer so its worked out well for all concerned.

Yes they were dirty, I have, I will post later today

Thing i have in my mind when giving a price is the massive eastern european community in London, honest them lot will work for nixys, you quote 100 they will go 50, so have to be mindful of that as well when pricing round here, we lost a few cleans in the past to Polish cleaners who were undercutting a 15 pound clean to 7 pound, its the same everywhere i know, but in a city of 11 million people, its a dog eat dog city.
