Enjoy traditional cleaning more?

I got a job last week that had been trad for about a year, and they weren't happy with his work, anyway, I got a text on Friday evening after doing the job, I did it WFP, it read "Hi Matt, thank you so much for doing a great job on our windows, its the cleanest they've been since we moved in.... I'm going to have to do all the insides now!"
Its the person using the tool, not the tool itself. Oh that had some 3 story, also some dormas etc, I wouldn't have done it trad even when I was trad.
Spot on mate

I do both. Some roads i will only wfp tops but i tad all ottoms, then other roads i trad tops as well for the usual reasons, small houses, flat garage and need ladders to do bks anyway.

Yeah I generally only trad insides now, I just can't be arsed since switching to WFP.

But it does annoy me when you hear "I spoke to Dorris down the road and she said she hates those pole things they're useless" or "I saw someone use WFP and the windows were still dirty so WFP is rubbish".

WFP works as well, if not better than trad, but if the person using it sucks HE sucks at using WFP, not WFP itself sucks.

Im relatively new to wfp, 6 months, not lost any custys but i notice on some hydrophobic glass i struggle to clean them properly especially in the rinse stage, pastics get cleaned better always of course and when glass isnt hydrophobic im confident the end result is better tan trad and easier/ quicker. My reason for tradding bottoms s as i use a car and can carry only so much pure in 25l containers

I reckon custys who believe in hydrophobic glass, must be smoking hydroponic grass. boom boom.

Yeah I hate that glass, it cleans OK you just have to rinse it a lot more with smaller moves down the glass, it is a right pain though and no idea why it is like it.

Anyone know why some is like it? you can even get two panes on the same window one is fine the other isn't?

iv noticed that whenever i see a wfpoler out working, they Always have a pained expression when poling.

a "worried ferret " look as if theyv just heard the pole snap but this classic staring look starts the moment the pole goes up-iv seen it time n time again.

anybody got an idea why that is?

contrast the "trad look" can vary, a sneaky sideways glance perfected over time is common. slight lip curl / hacking cough /spitting while carrying ladder all equal insolence, the moody type

Picked up a job off another WFP'er this week (not the first I've picked up off him). I priced the house £3 more, I cleaned it on Thursday, the husband and wife came out and thanked me so much for doing a fantastic job. There were tell tale signs the other cleaner wasn't doing a good job; runs down an aluminium patio door and 2 windows were impossible to do without getting the ladders off, but they said he never got his ladders off ever. It goes to show that many can go and buy a kitted out van and think the job does itself. These are the dicks that give WFP a bad name and Joe public find it easy to blame the method rather than the user a lot of the time. I'm surprised these new customers went with WFP again after not being happy with it before.

They're thinking, why has the trad guy who used to clean here left the frames in such a state

Thing is a lot of trad cleaners, in London at least live in the past, by that they think its acceptable to charge double for frames. blokes i know used to work for a trad cleaner who has about 1400 cleans over a six week rota, now this bloke has so much work he can afford to charge double, if they don't wanna pay, he has so much work he don't care, but these fellas think they can take that attitude and get away with it, when they don't get work and are struggling to pick work up they wonder why. I tell them they have to be more modern in there thinking, their response F*** that.

Makes me mad their terrible attitude, they deserve to struggle, if they aint prepared to change then the world will move on without them.

i just gone back to tradding bottoms and it feels a nice change to pole all the time and i think customer likes the dry window like both methods and use them accordingly

I was taught from day 1 that frames are part of a window so how can i charge more to do the frames??window = glass and frame that holds it as a complete unit including sill

If you don't clean all of it you are not a window cleaner you are a glass cleaner or **** as i prefer to call it

Too much competition to do a half arsed job

I trad but the other day the neighbour of one of my custys came out and asked me to do theirs as their guy was shite

Said he gets his pole out and moves the dirt around and how **** wfp is

I took the job but pointed out that the windie is at fault not the method and also said i would be going wfp at some point and if the quality suffers which it wont i would do em for free
