I have gone through loads of different gloves over the years, from those expensive sealskin gloves to cheap asda 50 p gloves and I have found the best winter gloves seem to be builders gloves....

The ones with latex on and material which cost a out a tenner for 20 pairs on ebay.

Most gloves tend to last a week before ripping but builder gloves last about 4 weeks before they are finished. Not bad them about a pound a month in cost.

i was in screwfix the other week and saw they had thermal builders gloves, they were out of stock or id have tried them

Yeah, I'm with smurf on this one. Skytec's are fab for the money. Sometimes I end up taking mine off mid morning as my hands are too hot! I think I got 2 pairs for a tender at arco last yr.

I have been using these,http://www.greggcare.ie/DisplayProduct.aspx?ProdID=75&PT=Gloves/ Sleeves

a bit pricey but keep the hands warm even when the gloves are soaked !
I fancy a pair of those.....are they nice and tight on the fingers to allow for detailing?

I am currently using these:

Great gloves, tough, warm and waterproof, but not too good for detailing as the finger tips are padded. Not ideal gloves for the tradder because of this.

They are fairly padded and chunky on the fingers, but once they are on they dont stop me working, i usually suffer with cracked finger ends in winter but this year with those gloves my hands are fine

On a plus point they wash well when they get smelly /emoticons/biggrin.png

I took my gloves off after the first 30 minutes today. I was wearing the regular sealskinz gloves. I feel Inhibited by gloves....they tend to slow me down. I just perservered with finger numbness. Get through loads of atrixo in the winter.

I presume those wearing gloves are all wfp cleaners. I'm hybrid and found gloves made no difference once they were soaked and I lost dexterity wearing them. Just have to remember the barrier cream before I go out and need to get a better hand cream for when I get in.
