Never. Me and luck are not friends, having said that, as you alerted me, I'll either loose about a tenner or save myself time and money making **** water

Exactly the same readings. Only differences are: the genuine one has makers mark, gives temperature to one decimal place and the case doesn't smell as badly of chemical fumes (I won't use the cheaper ones case)let us know how the readings compare, if there is no need to spend more I do not see a reason to do it. Tds meter is quite simple if I can get it cheaper, fine with me.
Cheaper one still good then.do you need temperature?can you give ys a link to the cheaper one please?Exactly the same readings. Only differences are: the genuine one has makers mark, gives temperature to one decimal place and the case doesn't smell as badly of chemical fumes (I won't use the cheaper ones case)
Thanks I have just ordered one.The link is further back in the thread or ebay for tds3. I wouldn't have thought temp to a decimal is needed really. As these things are alway plus or minus a bit anyway
yes I knowTo credit daqua and the 'genuine' suppliers, I think we need at least one 'genuine' tds meter or the uncertainty would always be there,
The 'fake' to me just looks identical. ,oh just noticed, the ebay one has a CE mark too
