Window cleaners clean glass believe it or not, listen mate i am like john wayne with that squeegy, no one will tell me how to do my job, frames are and added extra where i come from, they will get a bog standard price for the house and if they want frames done that would be extra. frames depend a lot on my mood and need for speed or how I am cleaning them as I am a hybrid windy...
and some prices may be...OLD prices and so where as once they may have got them wiped....now they may not...unless of course they put the price up for me...as indeed the best custys do..
Its always easier to price a new job higher than up an old job...
and when you get enough new jobs at the new prices then the old jobs...become :turd: its market forces...
like today...which was just great fate...or that force above what ever ...
I was all set for another early finish as I work in areas and dependant on time wont pass my house to go in the opposite direction to start another area..but...it was a bit to early to finish after I snuck off home yesterday...but then out of the blue the phone rings..
she told me her address but it doesnt always sink in and then she said...you know...the one where the money blew away..oh and then I know who she is and...
shes nicely placed on my road home ...I just love fate...
I may have told the story of the missing tenner....
but in case you missed it...oh yes the money will be under the wheelie bin..
well it was a new job and so I didnt just dive under the bin to get it I did the house and worked my way to the bin which was right by the last window...of course I was really really peeved to find no money...I lifted and checked all three bins as I have been caught out before where the money sticks to the underside of the bin....nope...I EVEN and of course this does look silly ...looked inside every bin...
anyway I left my note your windows were cleaned and put it down to collect...
it was a while as I DONT really collect anymore..
oh she said I thought you had collected it from under the bin....how guilty I felt like she thought I was trying it on...
it was a while before I heard off her again....oh she said we were gardening and found the money by the shed....
any way....I have done it a few times since and last time she made me a nice huge mug of coffee...and again today she popped out and made me another...but...
when I got the money she had left out for me there was £15 and not a tenner....well it may be a late xmas tip I dont know I figure thats what the other windy charged and she has forgot so...I am not saying anything...about time I had a rise.../emoticons/biggrin.png
so why did I say a tenner well I WAS sent from next door to give a price and his is a tenner.....now that is an old job thats worth £15 maybe he will forget...
and dont forget...as I have previously mentioned...the fiveteen pound note is coming..honest.../emoticons/biggrin.png

old school is the word you are looking for as old school window cleaners clean glass not frames which should be charged extra for

The difference is old school are cheaper than new school cleaners as their pricing structure is different to what is included in the pice they give.

To be honest with you I know many.I would say that satisfaction is what keeps me motivated not only money.What I mean is that if you only do it for money you will not be successful either.

it depends how you define cleaning frames really..
..i dont really think about it much as I ALWAYS dry wipe first and of course if you dont remove spideys.....the web will be back just as the custy picks up your note and looks up to see it still there despite the fact you may have removed it earlier...
when I say I dont clean em...it depends on how i find em in the first place but I never leave em black as the quickest of wipes shifts most of that...
wfp is much much different as dirt will continue for a long time even if they look clean to cause problems unless you hammer em..
I always clean the door surround as thats the first thing a tired custy sees as she picks up my note...
but how clean do you want em depends on how much effort you want to put into it...I have never been pulled yet for dirty frames and sills are another thing...
I could get em all white or I can just give em a wipe...
getting em white is very time consuming..
and yes at the end of the day money and time play a big part...but I dont just do the job for that reason...
there are so many reasons why I will always be out there cleaning windows....
