What do the trad lads find to be the best squeegee rubber for them?

Even without dogearing cutting the angles on them helps a lot with getting into the corners without missing anything

i had a bash to day with the mormon rubbers i think there the best ive used so far u need no pressure at all they melt on the glass just rite for the price as well there ace so cheep

Haha, I dont recommend Pulex, I've got to replace them every single day ( just me, probably because I'm too quick /emoticons/wink.png )

Unger does it for me, the soft rubber ones ,not the rock solid rubbers,

Daveyboy when you fit new rubber to yours do you cut it to the angle of your squeegee end or do you cut it but have a straight bit for the last bit of the angle if you know what I mean. I found by cutting it all the way of the angle I was obviously left with a point on my rubber which wore down very quick. I now cut it to the angle but the last bit say 3-4mm I cut straight so rubber last longer. Just wonderd how you done yours. Hope this makes sense.

If this makes sense

I cut the rubber 90° straight as if it was a standard squeegee right at the tip of the channel

Then i cut the angled bit with a scraper blade against the cut channel edge

Leaves a straight edge exactly the right size

I seem to be in the minority that prefer a hard blade. The difference between soft and hard was like night and day; soft for me seems to leave lines and smears, while hard does a cracking job. I use unger hard.

daveyboy@ its sunday you cant be working to day,so why not make a vid of your rubber cutting with some good close ups of the ends and such, PLEASE

Neither. I've curled the corners in and it has improved my window cleaning but still have to detail but not as much before. Have seen other ways to dogear on this site and am thinking of trying the polz way just can't seem to bite the bullet and try cutting my channels.
Lol just buy a channel off the internet for a couple of quid and have a play with that and this way if u mess it up its fine because u still got what u are used to

Yeah it is and it's not apparently ..it does a very good job from what I've been shown
