Hello everyone me again for some more advice ive got to clean algae and dirt off of white painted wall dont want to pressure wash wot can i scrub it with and rinse off

You can get Sodium hypochlorite which is also known as liquid chlorine, hypo or chloras from any good pool supplier. The stronger the concentrate the more it can be diluted so goes further. Mind you is lethal stuff to handle and use so wet everything down first like plants, grass etc it is likely to get on. It will also ruin your cloths. Best wear rubber chem gloves and eye protection too.

I did one in the summer with washing up liquid, water and a deck scrubber. I rinsed with their hose pipe. It worked well and they were impressed with the result. I had to be careful what I used because they are keen gardeners.

get wallwash from here its brilliant, put it diluted in a backpack/sprayer & rub over the area with your pole & leave, has to be a dry day though, any algae will be gone by next day & it rinses out of your kit with just a flush of cold water. a customer asked me to do his gable end with this stuff, I've been pushing these jobs ever since.

its £13.40 for 5 ltrs but you don't need a lot

Can you use it on a painted wall

If pebble dash painted walls they can be difficult to clean properly just using hypo

It is a pebble dash wall so i guess its all elbow grease and some fungicidal wash

Thanks

No idea but I'm guessing the base of the mix they use is hypo

I've had some great results using hypo mixed with a dash of ecover but the yanks tend to put other stuff in theirs they tend to like to keep to themselves.

Sorry I don't have an after pic but came up great...Works just as well on white plastics and painted wood too.

I have done a few softwash roofs/house wash using the yank equipment that i got sent over but could probably source most of it here tbh.

I also spent a lot of time on the softwash forums and then tried to source similar products in UK such as bleach stable surfactants and a masking agent plus one or 2 other items of choice.

I still send to the states for some stuff but you could get everything you need via chemical suppliers etc..

I am away to start pushing it more this year as going from trailer to van so will be set up similar to my wfp in back of van to seperate tanks with a lpg heater that will give me heat which i can divert to my hypo tank as well as wfp. Hypo with heat im looking forward to trying but heat does decomposes the hypo so will need to play around with temps/results..
