was a boy scout yes!! iv a bit of a whittling kit in my van ,penknives, mini files etc all at hand . my lads use them to surgically preen their faces with them !

I want to use wagtail without the pole as well but it leaves lines on the right hand side of the window, maybe I fan with wrong angle or do I need to modify it ?
Channel slightly bent on right hand side? Take the blade out and rest it against glass to check whether blade is distorted...

i cant sing the praises of the Anza tip enough [ when it comes to wagtail that is ] . its a perfect fit and lightweight also strong , you couldnt design a better tip

dont use the thread section . the mid section bit after thread is where the wagtail sits locked on

Anza poles are on sale in BnQ beside the Harris and start at 7 quid minipole, then 10 for mid pole etc etc you cant buy the tip on its own but its quite easy to remove tip from pole by drilling out 1 small rivet , then u graft it onto harris [after removing harris tip- whole process takes minutes not hours ]

but both of them have an acme thread?

what are you trying to fit on the thread ? i agree both have the Acme, but the wagtail handle has no place with acme

I use harris pole for other things like pro gutter tools( as you probably know they need an acme thread) so I would be able to use them and other tools with new pole(anza thread) as well.
