Any of you got this homebase ladder?

WCF

Help Support WCF:

That bps ladder on its own is about 21.5 kg plus the ankalad 3.6 kg & microlite stabaliser whatever that is takes it well over 26kg so is a bit of a best to hump about for an old guy like me

You need to man up smurf

I've had youngmans for years. I started with a two section 3-50m and when the feet started to wear I just bought new ones. I also inherited a 3-50m triple set 10 years ago when my father in law retired and I still use them when I want a bit extra security and use just two sections of the triple. Would highly recommend youngmans.

Mine is 25.5 kilo plus weight of ankalad and mini standoff so around 30 kilos i reckon and i use it all day long

No. All three sections of mine are same size 3m50 when closed. But the only time I use all three sections is if Im cleaning a gutter and I want a bit more stability. I don't clean any windows that are 3rd story so two sections is all I need.

The ladder in the link says two section but I always thought they were classed as a triple. Or am I getting that wrong.

I use my triples for 99% of my work including gutters etc

Have a 7 rung 3 section jobbie for access to backs through the house which is diy rated but gets used sometimes as much as twice a week so i think it will be ok

Never used an a frame in 24 years of doing it

You can rest them on a window frame if you have large set of windows and work either side. there lighter you can sit them at a angle ie side ways on to window and lay the top in to the out side edge of frame.

If you take it apart how many seperate ladders do you have??That's how many sections

Until i get a bigger van i wouldn't have room for them on my roof also

Running out of space now without wfp

must admit that i've been using the same abru 2 section laddder (3.4 - 6.1m) for all the time I've been window cleaning. That is nearly 12 years. Must admit it did get blown over and slightly bent. Is now staring to rust (yes aluminum does rust eventually). But I have now gone WFP for most work. But I DO need to buy a new ladder, and will probably by a LYTE diy version.

You can tell the differnce in weight from the DIY to the Trade, but if your a lightweight like me (11st or less) then DIY will do, the trade ladders are slighty wider and can take more weight, and if your big and stong (FAT, lol) then probably the best option.
