Have an influx of people getting solar panels in my area looking cleaned any tips or advice would be greatfull as have had 12 phone calls about cleaning them could be a nice new earning opportunity.

I've never advertised that I offer this service as a lot of domestic work can be extremely hard to get at being on roofs and all without using some form of access to get to the roofline. Long poles may be an option on some that's if you have good access or work from the likes of other gardens etc.

Most have also been sold that they never need cleaning but we all know this is not true.

Next time you are passing roofs with them on think about if it’s possible to clean them and how would you do it considering access etc and the methods you would use. Some you will notice will be relatively easy and others next to impossible to do.

I do a few and as smurf says, it's all about access. For awkward small residential arrays (4kw type things) I have a light aluminium scaffold tower. Makes things easier and frankly the closer you are to the panels, the better the job you can do. Same with windows I guess.

Well have been given the lend of a hysteria scissor lift to try it out so I'm going to give it a go on a friends house see how we go then start ringing these folks back and thx again guys always a pleasure.

I was keen to start solar pannels last year bought slx 47ft thinking it would be ideal

soon learned the pole was,int desighned for this job, could reach pannels no problem but too bendy

basically killed the arms

bungalows ideal no problem could make gd money
