Nice one...Looks good but just a few constructive comments :

That flexi gas hose needs a clamp on it so it don't leak.

Best to make sure none of the hoses rub on the edge of the holes as the vibration could damage them.

I would have made it easier to get to the hozelock fittings without having to lift the heater up as especialy the hot water one may start to leak and/or even come off when it gets hot as you shut the water off at the pole.

For frost protection it's best to drain the water heater down to stop it freezing up so you need to think of the best way to do this. Myself as mine is mounted on a purefreedom trolley I prerfer to simply discontect the inlet and outlet pipe and drain the water out into a bucket as the drain screw underneith I found is a pain in the **** to use.

Good pratice is to make sure you turn the gas off at the bottle when it's not in use especially when driving about.

Idealy the gas bottle box should be vented through the floor.

This is what a calor gas approved install looks like to get some idea.

I knew you would have a few words of wisdom Smurf ;-)

Gas flexi hose was fitted to my old heater by a gas certified engineer and signed off ,it's a purpose bought pipe with sealed ends with screw fittings.

Holes drilled have approx 3mm space all round

Height will be adjusted tomorrow (I just fitted it to the old heaters holes to try it out)

There is a 40 mm hole in the floor ( back Lhs)

There is a door which screws on the front to seal the tank off

However I really do appreciate the feedback Smurf and I agree I need to raise the heater but will probably have to refit the shelf lower also to give me more working room .

But look forward to using it all day :)

Hi , I'm a new member of this forum. I would like to know, where you bought this heater from and the price? I already have one heater named "An meny" 8L bougth from a web site company called "reach2cleanonline", but price is a bit high I think. I gave 181 pounds for a similiar to your heater - I think it's expencive ! My idea is to double WFP users, so that there can be two working together...

My name is Veselin Dimitrov and I'm from Bulgaria. I started my business first in 2009, so I will be happy to be of any help that might be usefull to you.

Best regards!

They come onto Ebay Uk from time to time - same heater but different names

Reach2clean buy them and sell them at a profit. They take into consideration that sometimes these suppliers ask up to £139.00 for the same heater and then they advertise them a week later at £85.00.

I like the look for the Fastar heaters. They are selling on ebay now for less than £80. I am willing my L5 to die, but the frustratingly loyal thing keeps going!

I had my L5 for yonks but frank killed it off a few months ago when it got frozen solid in the van. Oops!/emoticons/biggrin.png
