Nice paul

I made my jubilee clips smaller as the handles were jumping out

Good idea

My jubilee clip mod is fine now i made em a lot smaller

Had to squash the end bit against the clip and tape it well to stop them sticking out but is working well

When will a manufacturer cotton on to this sort of idea

It's a mod..think it is about 5.5 or slightly bigger

It was a 6 that i cut just a touch to fit certain georgian windows i had to do

All my channels are mods

Having done a bit now, I think a 6" or thereabouts is an essential. I seem to be managing without a big one or large squeegee for patios, but if I were doing them all day, I'd probs want big too

I'm going to try and mod my channel too when I get a chance, and have a spare handy in case frank does it for me :)

All day today i had the 5.5, 10×2, 12, 14 and 18 all on my belt

And used every one of them

The small one is brilliant for the little openers rather than use one that is too big to use properly

I agree, once u have a 6" out on the domestics u wont want to do without it, and also u can resue rubber from bigger channels, once the edges are worn out and the middle is still ok, you can use that rubber for the 6". I have about 12 precut waiting to go and in good working order all from old rubber, so in other words, once youve brought the little channel and handle it shouldnt coat u anything to always have a rubber in there.

Ive been using 6" the past couple of months, but before that i had an even small, 4.5" which is about as small as u can go and i have a 5" but its so rare u encounter a window so small to warrant this size that its best to just have a 6" as it works better on the top openers, i. Tempted to say a 7" might be ideal, as sometimes 6" fars short of the two swipe technique on the top openers.

So im advising dont go smaller that 6" but possibly go a bit bigger
