Zero detailing

I'm obviously measuring a different way. I measure from the squeegee business side, so 45 degrees will be the same which ever way, but my 60 degrees is, 30 degrees. So everybody's out of step but me!!
Not at all. I understood how you were calculating (your 60 is my 30). No biggie. My point being was that I found that at that angle it still didn't get cleanly into corners on the deeper Aluminium frames that are really common over here on new domestic and most commercial builds.

Before I angle cut my channels, I had straight cut but still with dog-earing, and I used to have a similar problem. I got round it though by squaring onto the frame as I went round the corner. It wasn't as good as angle cut, but it worked OK. Is it to do with those wide channels in your pic?

I finished modding my unger today . Had to do some final tweeting on the dogear whilst out working this afternoon . Took my time till I got used to the best way to use my technique. So now it is perfecting it and then waiting till moerman release theres

You do have to alter your style sometimes with the modded ones but worth it

It becomes 2nd nature sfter a few hours

Mine work Herman..i can't speak for anyone else but like you i have years of experience which i think is half the art of 0 detailing

As I said earlier mine worked but only with me tweeking it all week to Find my own comfort with the mod .

And it was good to do less detailing on the windows so hopefully tomorrow I can do a few more windows than usual

That's good james but personally i would start the bend further along the channel so it is about an inch long but not bend the so severely (more of a step down at the end )

Yes mine are almost as if an inch from the end the channel steps down a mill or 2 rather than looking like i have bent the corner

If you use pliers and pull the channel downwards towards the front rather than towards the tip of you get what i mean

I was doing an internal house with the dog ear channel this week, just great, minimal detailing,
Poor me,/emoticons/sad.png my first dislike, I think, hope it was a mistake? Davy. I was modifying a 14" Unger and turned into a 12", seems ok

No not really. If you look at the right hand photo you'll see it has a cut at that point anyway. With the way I use the Wag Widebody the 45° cut closer to the channel front allows me to get right into the corner without 'kinking" my wrist.
