Gutter and fascia cleaning. how do you do yours?

WCF

Help Support WCF:

You must but alot of it @J D as they where sold out when I looked at the site earlier today /emoticons/biggrin.png

They seem to sell out of it quite often smurf! I'm guessing it's popular stuff. I found that after using this 400:1 tfr that every other TFR solution just feels like your spraying water on the fascias!

JD what dilution do you use on Fascia? I buy PVC cleaning solution from mistral. It cleans well, and leaves a nice sheen on the Fascia. Though, I guess I use a much higher ratio (more concentrate) than the TFR.

thought i'd ask what method you guys use.
The system I use is called the Nick system. Works a bit like this 'Oi Nick! Get up that bloody ladder and get them gutters cleaned!

They come up stunning every time.

Seriously, I wet the surface with a hose pipe from the ground, use an old WFP and head dipped in Auto Smart G101 TFR to apply all over wet surface, rinse with hose from ground level, walk away.

Similar to me but i use an old applicator on my trad pole dipped in autoglym advanced concentrated tfr which a mate gets me free and then up ladder to wipe with old microfibre

Job done

50/50 mixture Remy. Its an overly strong solution but it works so much better and quicker than using the recommended mixture.

Can i ask what people charge for fascias and guttering etc worcester area? And how much time? Spent

guys bit of advice i used to powerwash them done but had a house were the water went thru to attic :-( and people gave off big time i asked a roofer friend and he said that if the felt is getting weak it can get thru or if its been badly done it can get thru .. i use the pole now and no pure water i just hook the hose up to customers tap turn on full blast nd nice strong water ...

REMEMBER NO WATER CHARGES FOR NORTHERN IRELAND

I clean them just like a window, brush and water, works ok for me. apart from the really stubborn bits. but the customers don't seem to mind the odd stain.

I've only cleaned white guttering, as new to it, spray on ubik diluted to approximately 50:1, then wash off using customers tap water using wfp with separate pole hose just for those jobs, to stop contamination, or if no tap just use pure,as normal.

For black n Brown guttering what chemical can you use on it, as I think i read that ubik is no good, just thought to use ecover n flash?

I tend to use just hot wfp on black & brown guttering but any type of mild detergent would do. Most brown plastics stuff I do has faded so I don't spend to much time on it if I'm honest.
