Got dumped today...

WCF

Help Support WCF:

last year one of my regulars, asked me to just do the tops as she had just bought a Karcher, i only agreed as she was the last in a line of 10 i do in that street. last month she asked me if i would do the bottoms again as she couldn't be bothered with it any more. So if he did sack you off because he thinks he can do them better himself with his little yellow friend, you may well be hearing from him again.

I received an email the other day, to say to stop cleaning the persons windows, as their pension is being stretched to far and having to cut down on luxuries, as getting work done on house, its a £8 bungalow, never viewed myself as a luxury:rolleyes:, said I done an excellent job.

I walked away from a job that I get just over £100, as the people treat me like some stupid WC:confused:, got accused of breaking a window:mad:, that they were kind of them to let me off with, I did not break a window. what I did break was a small slat on an ancient air vent, that for some reason I thought to clean(stupid idea), I was fuming. When I got home I got a call from a new customer, ended up being a £90 house, bitter/sweet sometimes this game.

Take care, we do analyse things too much, and take things too personal, its just cold hearted business sometimes, which is a shame. Hope you get replacement work soon:thumbsup:

Cheers mate. In the scheme of things its fk all really. You guys have put it into perspective. It just happened on the end of a **** day as I got rained off just after lunch. So after petrol and food I think I earn't about £20. But on the bright side I'll be able to do the second half of the day I had planned tomorrow, and a guy called this evening for a one off clean which I'll fill my morning as its a nice big house and I'm charging double bubble. And he wants his gutters done some weekend soon too. /emoticons/smile.png

The problem is you never know where and when it will come from but you will get dumped here qnd there for lots of reasons

Thats why its important to keep building your round

I was doing a road yesterday and i was remembering how many of the houses i had done over the years, i counted 11 within visible sight

If i had every customer i had once cleaned that i dont now do it would be a big round

As the other guys have said, sounds like you might have dodged a bullet anyway @TolishAPurd /emoticons/smile.png Sounded like a tricky, time-consuming job. And if the customer has been through several window cleaners it suggests it might be him and not you!

Just don't let it get you down buddy. When I lose a customer for whatever reason I always try my best to pick up 2 as soon as. You are always covered then.

He seemed like a bell end to be honest. Better off without him.

Cheers mate. Feeling better already. The one off clean today has just earn't me some very nicely priced pressure washing and gutter work so I think the cleaning gods are smiling down on me today./emoticons/smile.png

Although tomorrows looking like a washout according to the weather reports.

It's only a bit of rain tolish..just crack on..less detailing of the rain is washing the glass

I don't mind a bit of rain mate, but its meant to be hossin it down, and its usually quite accurate when it says that. I'm going to leave the windows tomorrow in favour for a handyman job thats been booked in a while.

It's raining here at the moment

I have a new clean with conny roof

Nice easy straight roof full length of house that just slopes from the wall to the patio..love them.in the rain as don't wipe the smears off

Should help you out nicely that. Got one myself tomorrow, so with a bit of luck I'll have the same.

What i like to say is, "ok thats fine, i'll replace you"

Then when they ask u bk u can say u replaced them.

But sometimes its worth taking them back if they wrre actually a nice person and paid well etc

Did a first clean last week frames, sills etc. Phones me up says I left cobwebs on sills. Knew I didn't so asked whereabouts on sills. Underneath. Now maybe I've been cleaning wrong all these years. Do any of you guys clean under the sills.I clean top, sides then the down lip.

She also didn't like the price I charged, which I agreed in advance with hubby. Her neighbour paid me anyway beforehand. I think maybe she just wanted a first clean
