Being a titt or not?

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Imagine a lot of it is about intimidation. They think if they act like this, you'll run away and never return, hence more work for them. Not a pleasant way to work and you'd think it would come back to bite him at some stage (it almost did if you'd have had a different decision!)

My brother in law has some lets say interesting friends

He is a good guy but grew up with these guys

Particularly this one as he pulled him from a burning vitara they had an accident in

Or i could have just got my mates from west london to come visit lol

The intimidation wouldn't work on me, it would have the exact reverse effect, I have always been the same, someone comes at me, tries to intimidate or whatever I go straight back at them.

Was homeless at 15, mixed with some of the kinds of people @daveyboy1 is on about, been in motorbike clubs etc.

No one bothers me anyway, 6 foot 2, 21 stone power lifter, tends to put people off /emoticons/smile.png

Lol same here but 6'2" and 15.5 stone ex boxer

This world we live in is crazy

Did a bit of boxing, problem is my eyesight is horrific without glasses.

Did some full contact kickboxing but had the same issue, eyesight is terrible.

:DI won't offer to take you krav maga training then

I don't wanna get a stray kick in the balls

I don't tend to get any hassle as who is going to pick a fight with an OAP /emoticons/biggrin.png

Interesting topic. When I told people I was starting as a cleaner, a common comment was 'what about people already on the patch', 'aren't you worried?'

I didn't understand as to me it's a trade like any other, I could as easily chosen a similar but different trade.

Strange it attracts some 'gangster' mentality folk, whereas say a courier doesn't seem to have any agro.

My usual answer is " jog on before you get hurt sweetheart "

Seems to work said as casually as saying hello mate

Right guys got it! So I need to be a 22stone powerlifter who knows someone who was in a murder trial, or just open the car door and kick him in the face lol.

No really, thanks guys for all the comments. It's such a shame for people like this in the same profession as yr acting a titt!

I think confidence helps a1. In conflicts I usually get too wordy and try to explain things too much. Next time I'll be going the davey route as if they've got the mentality to try and breach your liberty and jeopardise your livelihood over their misplaced beliefs, there's no arguing, just intimidation left.

I always keep in my mind, I will give back to them twice whatever they try and do to me. Ultimately, a conviction is better than tail between legs. Always avoid physical, but if no choice, go with the flow.

Or just be an old bloke like me that just smiles and nods a lot with a blank look of dementia on me face...works every time /emoticons/biggrin.png

A1D4NJ -- You are right he's a tit!

You don't need to be a 22st power lifter and you don't need to resort to violence, you do however need to stand firm.

If you cave in to one tit, word gets round and you have to cave in to all tit's.

If he harasses you verbally or otherwise call the Police!

NO IT IS NOT GRASSING!! This is business, and this tit is trying to take food out of your mouth, out of your wifes mouth out of your kids mouth! Well personally I don't give a toss, you do something to affect my livelihood which in turn effeccts my family I will use any tool I can to remove you from my life. I'm here to do an honest job and not tolerate di*k heads.

Perhaps I am fortunate that I am of a rather large build so the others round here tend to be a bit friendlier than some other towns from what I gather, I only ever had one trying to be a hard man 'I CLEAN ALL THE WINDOWS ROUND HERE!' He yelled at me so I walked up real close and calmly said 'no, you don't' He walked off in a huff and that was the end of it.

But I guess A1D you are a grown man so find they way to deal with it that works best for you -- and get your as$ back to that other customer that wants a quote! If he dont give a stuff about food on your table why should you give a stuff about his?

I don't understand why a1 you didn't do the quote.

I agree with green. I nearly always tell the police my issue with someone so if it turns physical later I've been honest and reported the incident so I am on record as concerned and lawful. it's best to not swear or insult them either, but note any insults or statements to you. The truly dangerous people don't give a warning, like daveys incident, bang they've done it, no warning, no chat.

I look as you describe at the mo smurf on my crutches.

As it should be Jim, there's a lot of wanabee hard men / tough men and plenty of 'mouths' that think they got the stones.

I can certainly look after myself but why should I, I pay a shed load of taxes to have an army of boys and girls in blue to take out my trash for me whilst I get on with cleaning windows.

I'm not saying do not defend yourself if attacked but if you ever want to be taken seriously as businessman or human being then do it right and use the tools that we a a civilized country have at our disposal.

I disagree with Daveyboys actions in his Luton incident - I would have pointed him out, Had him sent down, or in the least a restraining order, why? cause whilst he's not around well his customers are going to want clean windows and that is quite honestly how I look at it, more custies for me!

Green we are a product of our upbringing and environment

I grew up in an area with an innate distrust of the police..Some of the things that went on it was sometimes justified

Around Ladbroke grove, Harlesden and the south kilburn estates if you were to let someone get away with assaulting you or robbing etc then you instantly make yourself a target for everybody else who wants to have a pop

That is how i grew up and your upbringing stays with you all your life

I refuse to let anyone verbally or physically threaten me or my family without consequences and the police would be the last to get involved

Well be sure when the day comes to write a review for us on how well the liquidator works from behind bars! I would suggest a 6 inch as I hear the windows are quite small.

You are not the only one who grew up with underprivileged disadvantages, I spent more than my fair share of my youth with bracelets round my wrists (not a fact I am proud of) And yes I have even served 3 months for breach of the peace after a bar fight, probably thee lowest point of my existence.

Walking out of there I decided that the only one to blame was me, I didnt start the fight but I finished it with my fists as opposed to taking a couple of feeble punches off some a$s hole and then letting the police deal with it.

Losing three months of my life over something so f&*^ing stupid is ridiculous and I made a decision that day that there were two words that would change my life. 'GROW UP' Simple!

We can all sit round here and brag about how hard we are and how big our di£ks are but I aint here to demonstrate the size of my p3nis, I am here to discuss, learn and share information on the window cleaning industry.

If my choice to use the law as a tool to my advantage to resolve any aggravation or irritation throughout my working day makes me any less of a man in your eyes well oh well, I can assure you I will not lose one second of sleep over it as anyones opinion off me as a man (with the exception of my wife) is so unimportant to me that weather I am going to have the chicken or beef pot noodle for a snack rates higher. And FYI my wife would rather I used the law as a tool than got myself into sh*t for giving some poor numpty a spanking.

My dic8s bigger than yours, my cars faster than yours, my squeegee is better than yours my brother can beat up your brother, my dads bigger than your dad.................what the f&&k??? This is not a primary school playground, it is the real world.

I can honestly say that I can not respect anyone regardless of background, upbringing etc etc blah blah blah that thinks resorting to violence is an acceptable choice.

I have spent 8 years of my life working my as$ off as a window cleaner attempting to elevate the public opinion of window cleaners as beer swilling, *** smoking, cash on the side, topping up the dole hooligans, to that of hard working respectable tradesmen that you trust to work on your home, anyone on this forum or in this industry doing anything other than that is personally damaging the reputations and trust of all other hard working respectable window cleaners.

If you want to be like that well then I'm sorry but I can't find enough interest to give you the time of day.

The above is not a personal slant on anyone particular, or anyone elses views in particular as I believe in freedom of choice as well as freedom of speech, but I also believe there are many people on the planet that could benefit from two words I learnt a long time ago 'Grow, Up!'

(I exclude Smurf from that statement as we all know he is way past any chance of growing up!) /emoticons/smile.png)

It is not a case of growing up

I am extremely professional in my job

I treat everyone how i would wish to be treated

But are you telling me if someone gave you a slap you would turn the other cheek and go call the police or would you in reality defend yourself

I know which i would do which is why i have spent years learning self defence

I also spent time in the armed forces where i was taught to defend myself

A big difference between that and being a thug looking for trouble

in fact it was the army which took me off the wrong path as a youth and turned my life around

But I would not let myself be attacked full stop..whether right or wrong
