Being a titt or not?

Yes I would take a slap, and yes I would then call the law.

I consider myself a civilized person and will not resort to a street brawl.

If after taking a slap the offender insists on carrying on I will demonstrate just how well I can defend myself but I will ALWAYS involve the law in any altercation as I want those people off my 'turf' as I am here to work not f&ck about.

Physical confrontation is to always be avoided, I have also got in to trouble for fighting when younger, like I say I used to knock about with the wrong types, but I found a family of sorts in that, that I lacked anywhere else, meeting my wife when I was 20 sorted all that out for me.

But, and big but, if someone confronts me I will NOT back down, I won't just lump him or anything, but I will make it clear I am more than prepared to do that if needs be.

Each to their own mate but defending myself how i have been trained to for this country does not make me a thug

It makes me a normal British citizen with a right to not be assaulted

Basic human right and totally legal to defend myself

It is good enough to defend everyone else in this country from harm but not allowed to defend myself??

I tended not to defend myself in bad situations as had no need really as the aggressor was already dealt with before he knew it. So I'm guessing you call me an old thug /emoticons/biggrin.png

At no point have I said do not defend yourselves but let me put this to you....

Someone gives you a slap, you give them a spanking, they walk up behind you a week later a stick a blade in your back.

We all know that's how it escalates, and Davey I don't give a shi$ what you know in the world of self defense, even the best can get taken out from a chicken shi% crack head with a blade from behind -- just a fact and you know that.

Here's scenario two - some smack head gives you a slap, you walk away call the law have him arrested. End of threat. He comes near you again, paste him then call the law. I would assume that would pretty much end the scenario.

I will always avoid confrontation of a physical nature, I have actually been stabbed in the back 3 times and yes I will post pics to prove it if it makes me more of a man.

Weeks in hospital and several surgerys to put s4it right is not my idea of fun.

I'm here to clean windows and run a business and perhaps my attitude of let the law deal with the ******* is why I don't have any shi^ on my rounds,.

Take a look at all the cases of 'self defense' in this country where some smack head has had a go and some well trained fellow has put him down with just one shot and caused serious injury and gotten themselves incarcerated happens time after time.

Fellow got in a fight in a chippy, hit the guy once, the impact on the floor killed the guy. Chap still went down for murder. Think that was about two years back can't be arsed to google it right now.

And as for someone with your skill sets Davey if you were to end up in the docks for 'self defense' you rights can pretty much go f%%k off as we all know that the law is whatever the judge says it is on the day and I reckon you'd be a prime target for having an 'EXAMPLE' made of you. (due to skill sets)

As I have said previously, I personally think resolving anything with violence is for numptys, I will always take the legal route.

Each to their own as how you choose to resolve disputes is no concern of mine at the end of the day.

As we are obviously not going to agree I will make this my last post on the subject and move along to something else as I fell this topic is done and I personally feel going in circles is pointless unless you are a hoola-hoop champion.

For having an English accent in a bar in Glasgow Smurf -

1990 Glasgow awarded city of culture. (Yeah right)

No I dont judge an entire race on one gang of of five chicken sh*t numpties looking to victimize someone cause it makes them feel hard! I love Scotland and the Scots as a whole.

Yes I was a much younger man and no I didn't take it laying down, I walked out that bar on my own to feet and didn't collapse from blood lose until about ten feet away from the hospital A&E. Don't remember a damn thing about the next three days, the couple of days after that are hazy too, I do remember being seriously sick for about two weeks and another two after that sleeping a lot in a hospital bed. I do remember how sore the two stab wounds to my lower back were for months after and I sure remember how painful my right shoulder was for about a year after the surgeon removed the stiletto blade that went in the back of the shoulder and came out of the front and had to do major repairs throughout two surgeries to repair the muscles.

Mostly I remember to this day how fuc&ing painful my right wrist is after I had major surgery to install artificial tendons to retain basic motor skills in my right hand after my own tendons were mangled as I blocked a bottle aimed at my face. To this day 25 years later I only have 65% motor skills in my right hand, and it hurts like a mother f*&^er when it gets too hot and just as bad when it gets too cold. Only reason I have that much use is that at the time Stirling had the leading tendon specialists and I was later told that they sent a squad car full pelt to fetch a surgeon to save my hand.

So to all those that think 'yeah I'm hard, I'll just give them a kicking' well I so bored of that bravado attitude that I just dont care anymore, I just want to clean windows so if you want to go round with a hard on looking to beat up on any *** that looks sideways at you well carry on, I got windows to clean.

Just writing this down is making me rather emotional so I am done with this thread now.

Yes he did. Not sure who I'm going to vote for...hmmm...maybe the green party as I particularly liked thier policy on upping foreign aid. Its nice of her to give away our taxes to another county.

I'd like to join in on the chest beating in this thread as I've also spent a lot of my youth training to fight, but truth be told, I'd be embarassed getting into a fight in front of a customers house. Much better to laugh at him and let him make himself look stupid. that way if a customer/potential custy were to see it, you'd end up looking the better man. An attack on the other hand is totally different. No one can tell how you would react but here are some valuable lessons taken from a very clever man called Geoff Thompson (exbouncer, self defence guru, author), this is real **** that may just save your life or liberty;

Put up a 'fence':

If its looking like its going to kick off iminently, put your hands up as if you are saying "I don't want any trouble". This works two ways, it shows to any passers by or cameras that you are not the aggressor. And it cleverly puts you in something very close to a fighters stance, so you can protect yourself.

Puffing out chests and having stand offs is the sort of thing that gets people in prison, even if they didnt start it. If you say something along the lines of "I'm gonna kick the sh*t out of you", and then you do. It wont be seen as self defence, it will be seen as a premeditated act of violence. Anything that is said before, during, or after an incident will go against you, and can easily be twisted and missinterpreted in a court of law.

Now my prefered method is to carry a 12inch black d*ldo, and beat the aggressor around the head with that. Or just attack him with multiple wedgies. No one will ever report either of those to the police.

I'll let you decide which is the best method./emoticons/biggrin.png

I am undecided if the tears running down my face are from laughing so much it hurts or from wondering why you had a 12 inch black dildo in your tool belt to start with.

Does 'her in doors' know you take it to work with you? /emoticons/tongue.png

Better to have one of those in the house then a real one while I'm at work.

We laugh about it,but somewhere someone is out there buying a big member for the very purpose I mentioned.

...my moneys on smurf./emoticons/wink.png
