How to set up ball **** on tank?

Smurf. Do you need a pump from PW hose in wheelie bin or do yo just put it directly in with some form of filter and allow the pw to naturally draw water. Just bit confused as normally the water being forced by the pressure from mains when connected to exterior tap.

Away to upgrade from 13 to 21 lpm.

cheers

thanks for the reply. i have been searching for filters but for some reason im not finding one. I use a 3/4 inch hose but couldnt find any even for standard garden hose. wouldmeone be kind enough to post a link,

Thanks

Try jetmac.co.uk

Not all presure washer pumps (lower spec ones) are designed to suck water from a holding rank

To be honest not sure I will even bother, be too much hassle trying to sort water for it, not going to pay over £300 for a key to the stand pipe.

Mine says it will but only under positive pressure, so I assume I would need to fit a tap to the bottom of a tank to achieve that? Would that be right smurf?

Smurf....Would you be kind enough to show me a pic of how you clip the portable ball **** onto the whellie bin. Thanks

Here's how I did it mate:

Just drilled a hole with correct size, and then tightened the nuts which come with the oat valve, then away you go!

I posted a pic on page one of this thread, I just finger tight one of the nuts so is on the lip of the bin then close the lid down so the lid lip sits in the gap between the nut and back bit of the ball ****.

You could always attach a G-clamp to a ballcock with a jubilee clip.

I have had to do away with my ball ****, it restricts the flow too much with my new pressure washer and it keeps running the barrel empty /emoticons/sad.png

Get a high flow float valve, something you would use with a centrifugal metering system should do the trick /emoticons/smile.png
