A lot of questions from a beginner!

Bore da. Where you at it in mid wales? I'm on the border between hereford and brecon.

I go through welshpool a lot on the way to Llangurig where my best mates dad lives..we look after his farm when he comes back to London to visit..lovely part of the world..

I have a love hate relationship with the beacons..lovely place but not when doing a nav excercise at night

Beacons are two hours from Welshpool! You're closer to snowdonia up there innit. Have they started the Newtown bypass yet?

Drop whatever else you're doing and start window cleaning ASAP. It's ducking great. If you're committed, you will not regret it.

Oh and a trip hazard sign for trailing hoses.

Wouldn't want someones nannan falling over and breaking a hip.

My TDS meter has arrived!!

what I got when I put the meter in a glass of my tap water. Does that seem right?

I would use an RO/DI myself still on a tap reading of 83 as it hardly ever reamains the same.

Even using twin di's your resin bill must be high @Tuffers?

Mind I suppose it's handly just to fill your tank from a hose

Yes he could use RO, but is he on a meter, has he space to store pure etc. I find using DI only perfect for me as I just pull up on the drive, turn on the tap and fill with pure. I do get my timings wrong sometimes and flood my van, not too often though

A bag of resin lasts me about 4 months at a stretch, so £225 a year ain't bad. I order a new bag as soon as I do the last DI fill from the old bag.

You need two Di vessels ideally. The water from your tap passes through the first, with your older resin in bringing your tds down to less than ten (ish) and then through your second vessel bringing it down to 000 tds. When your tds starts creeping up, you replace the old resin with new and swap vessels. Minimising resin costs. If you get busy and start using lots of water then it'll get pricey. But if you're cleaning windows at a good £/hr it doesn't matter.

Also, filling slowly uses less resin. **** knows why.

Even on a meter, smurf might be right. The cost of waste water against resin? It may be closer than you think.

Yeh man. You can either have a tank of tap water on the van which is pumped through your Di vessels and up through your water fed pole as you use it, or fill the tank up in the van with de ionised water and do it that way. There's pros and cons to both I guess, I'm still learning, the more experienced here will tell you more..........

you and your wife totally have to believe in your new venture, if you work hard you

will get your round .

But you have to learn the job first , dealing with customers can be a right pain

But when the graft comes in it gets easier
