So I clean windows but it seems my cleaning solution is great for the windows but doesn't quite get rid of all the dirt on the windows. I use a seperate spray for the hard to remove bits on the window. I heard g101 or something being mentioned somewhere here? is that safe to use on these type of windows? Just looked on ebay and saw G850 industrial strength says its okay for cars and things. So was wondering if this would be suitable?

Asda eco liquid or ecover and flash

Any little bits left on the glass use your scraper and next time they will be better

No need for chems on a standard clean

How about paint spots? Would these types of liquids dissolve them if I leave on the window for a minute? Has anyone tried this? Also if it came to having to scrape a load of paint spots of a window, could I just wet the window real good and run a scraper across the entire thing in one direction? Watched some videos but not entirely confident about it.

i dont bother touching paint spots unless custy asks

i look on that as a seperate job just my opinion mind

and havent had a complaint yet:rolleyes:

It depends on the extent of the paint spots

The odd 1 or 2 i will whip off with my scraper but more than that will start taking me extra time

I wouldn't put chemicals on the glass unless you know it'll be OK. Regarding any kind of 'spot' that is on the glass, use a scraper, with a bit of water.

I agree but I want to be able to charge a bit more if I can.

Ubik and virosol are 100% fine on glass

Ubik is good when i spray the minging frames on a first clean i spray the glass as well

Scrub glass with old porcupine soaking wet and it takes all the shite off

Then clean as normal

Won't take paint off though

G101 is good but at 3 times the price of ubik (autoglym aren't cheap) i would just use ubik less diluted

i done a new first clean yesterday they had few we paint spots on them

i cleaned and soaped up windows took extra time and removed them the windows are now perfect and next time i go back it wont take any were near as long :)

If I'm feeling generous I might take the odd spot off, but try not to. if you get asked to do it, you'll be on it forever, and maybe for a fiver extra.

I have one sill i stained in the corner with ubik and had to get the magic sponge out

Smurf informs me it also stains glass which is why i always spray on leave for 30 seconds if it is hot and sunny and then scrub with very wet porcupine or cloth on first clean sills and glass

Get all the paint off on the first clean but always charge extra. They will be impressed that you are thorough.
