Too much pressure

Can anyone tell my why there's so much pressure it's ridiculous I get soaked every time I pull the hose reel off the bumper ports

Because the pressure is building up maybe as you have turned the tap off on yer wfp/hose reel then turned the pump off?

 
You need to recalibrate each controller. It seemed to me that the pump/s were running too long after the taps were turned off building up pressure. It only needs enough pressure to push the water through to the jets of your brush at your preferred flow rate.

The other issue could be that there is either air in the system (DI vessel) or that the supply hose is expanding with the pressure.

I've got 6mm hosing what cal should I have it in spruce? When I disconnect the hose reel from the outport (bumper of van) it makes a bang and water goes everywhere lol

Ha that's a fair amount of pressure. When I was cleaning I would have a little bit but no where near that!

 
Yeah it look like a bit of pain!

What happens is when the back pressure builds it turns the pump off, but by that point you've got a huge amount of pressure backed up. So when you release the tap on those van ports it flies out like a rocket...

To solve it id get a one shot radio mate, then you can turn off the pump as and when with a click of a button

or just recalibrate both controllers as you dead end detection is set too high so the pumps are not cutting out when they should as spruce has already mentioned.

I'm also surprised that you have not blown your hose connectors in the van yet too with that amount of pressure being allowed to build up.:rolleyes:

 
Try dropping it down until it does not cut in too early and affect the flow when you turn the flow off/on the poles. (false dead end detection)

 
Drop the cal down until the pump stops is that right? Lol blonde moment lol

I've just had another look and when I turn the tap off one of the pumps doesn't stop it just keeps going [emoji53]

Neil,

Your controllers do 2 things. They allow you to increase or decrease the flow of water to your brush and they also increase or decrease the water pressure to do that.

The first screen/front screen is the flow rate. You get this when you switch the controller on. If it was last used at 50 and you then press the down arrow, the flow will reduce. If you press the up arrow the flow will increase.

The second screen is the calibration screen. It works behind the scenes. It works by providing enough pressure to push the water through your hose at your preferred flow.

See instruction that @Smurf put up. The figures on your first screen, the water flow rate are not a pressure setting as some people think. They are divided into 100 sections and some get confused as the pump is 100 psi pump.
