The lady usually leaves the garage open and I walk through to the back garden. Well, today she didn't leave it open, so I got the ladders off and went over the garage. As I climbed down the ladder into the garden this appeared....

Oh ****, I'm now well and truly stranded, if he's a biter I'll never get to the ladder and up it without me getting caught by him me thinks. Plan B quickly enters my head, be nice to him and make a fuss . Luckily he fell for it and was a nice dog. Then he started getting too bloody friendly . I tried saying 'sit' and 'lie down' but he weren't having it. I'm sorry Mrs so and so if your windows look **** at the back, but I was in a hurry /emoticons/biggrin.png

I hate having to pretend to bs a 'dog person'. But oh yes smile politely and pat young rover as he jumps up at you with muddy paws and sniffs your crotch. 'My last window cleaner didn't get on with the dog' I often hear. There's one lady with 6 Irish wolfhounds, like a canine tidal wave coming at you. Going there tomorrow.

At least you will see them coming. I nearly trod on this one's head /emoticons/biggrin.png

I knelt down on one knee to do the customary pat to a (fairly large) dog today and it somehow jumped up and ended up actually sitting on my knee? Didn't quite know what to do as getting up would 'launch' it off my knee onto the floor but luckily the owner came and dealt with it.

That must have be a fright for the dog as well @Tuffers…the paw thing /emoticons/biggrin.png

Or trying to tear you to bits if you happen to stumble opon a trained guard dog just doing his job /emoticons/biggrin.png

Scary seeing that dog, I was in a same predicament last week, one customer has a holiday rental next to house, I had to access there house via holiday rental as gate closed, Im cleaning the patio doors and I hear a growl, I try and work quieter and look for an escape route, but none, growling gets louder, im thinking im done for, severed legs coming up, then this old dog pops round wagging its tail, phew
