Sediment + twinDI filter it

At first i used (stupidly) 5 micron sediment fikters which was slow.. Now using 50 micron

Fill Jerry's up from the but , empty all in to my tank and as I work it goes through my di [emoji106]

If you don't do it that way another way is I fill up my spare backpack & that pumps it through the di into my other backpack or jerry can or another water butt.

One thing I have noticed is I had 2 Jerry's with water from my RO which reads 13ppm and then I emptied the water but into the other Jerry's which was reading 50ppm and the water looked a bit different in colour compared to ro Jerry's is this still ok?

I do tend to use my water pretty quick rather then let it sit in the butt for weeks for it to fill up. I also have a filter (old tights) to catch the **** before it goes in the butt.

Is it not good to throw in my tank @David K ? Maybe I should clean the butt out

Maybe you should clean it , but i also agree with posh , use it Quick , filter before it goes in the Butt , and DI in the end , then you are safe !

Looks a lot dirtier

I catch rainwater off a barn roof and it ranges from 3pp to 25ppm.

the horses and cows also drink out of it.

I have 10 blue barrels that gets filled and a black 1000ltr ibc tank.

the horses and cows drinks my water out of the blue barrels:hey:

sometimes the water can be murky and not to healthy lookin but it dries in very well I must say

So I bought a water butt and it's at me dads house what's the best set up to filter it before it goes in the butt and when it comes out the butt in to my Jerry's can I throw it straight in my tank ready for work? By the way I have di vessels after my tank so when I'm working the water will be polished off to 0.00 when working

I would use a sock or 2 on the drain , maybe let the water pass some Tiny Stones in a tube before in runs Down the waterbutt , just to catch any sediments .

Then you Can pump it over in your tank and DI it As you go .

I have watched some doing it that Way and im currently working on getting my Own setup , and free water

Cheers Dave I'm onit [emoji41] just need it to rain at night not during the day otherwise I can't work lol

I have a old pair of tights as a fiter before it goes down the downpipe. In the little hose that goes into the butt I have fitted a funnel that has a filter in it. I then fitted an old pair of tights over the funnel held on with a elastic band. Before I fit this on the funnel I put a trowel ful of resin in the funnel. Fit the tights on with elastic band & make a hole in tights & slip the hose in. This means it runs into the gutter then through a filter (tights). Goes down the downpipe & through the little pipe into the funnel through the resin into the butt. Comes out at 000ppm. Takes 5-10 mins to set up.
