hot water setup ?

i have just brought one these heaters,just wonder what order would they be set up in ?,all ive got in van now is tank suffolo pump and than reel,just wondered in what order i would fit the thr heater after the pump before the pump etc,also im thinking of fitting it on the back door of van so when in use the back door swings opens and vents most the gases out,ihave got a fiat doblo van ?

Normally tank, Shurflo, heater, hose reel.

Dave Willis has it tank, heater, pump, hose reel. The Shurflo pumps are good for 60 degrees C max, so as you won't use any more than 40 degrees tops at the heater this is well within specs.

Like @spruce has already mentioned the heater goes after the pump. You just simply run a hose from the outlet of the pump to the inlet of the heater. Then on the oulet of the heater run a hose to the hose reel.

ok cheers guys,back of van thing should be ok i dont want to cut holes in my van for vents etc,just wondered it there was any threads any where of someone setting the heater up etc ?

I have mine just mounted on an old pure freedom trolley that I still use to pump water to my wfp setup static in the van by the side loading door. The gas tank is strapped to the trolley where the water container use to go.

When I'm running the portable hot water heater I just leave the side loading door open a wee bit. Alternatively if need be I can also run a gaden hosepipe from an outside tap and directly connect it to the inlet of the heater if I want just to use hot tap water instead for the likes of cladding cleaning etc. Then just switch back to using pure for windows. I tend not to use hot tap water for house washdowns now as I live in a very hard water area so is not ideal getting tap water on glass.

This is mine fella, works a treat. Will have a custom made flue this week and couldn't find one that would fit. Good air flow in the van and you'll be fine. Mines on the last point before hose reel.

got my heater last week,all hooked up cant get it to ignite,can hear the igniter clicking and the digtal display comes on but wont ignite any ideas ?

The safety sensor is detecting there is not enough water flow going into the heater so it will not ignite.

To get the heater to fire up when using a wfp pump you need to do the following:

1. Turn the flow dial on the heater all the way to the right (min) position where it will stay.

2. Adjust the pump controller flow rate high enough for the heater sensor to allow it to fire up and stay on. On my digi flow controller it stays on about 40 ish

No the right hand flow **** need to be set on minimum flow (fully to the right) or the heater will not ignite using a wfp pump.

what about the heater controller on boiler does that have to be in any certain position ?
