Hi guys ,

This afternoon I was approached by a facilities management team who want to sub out some work for a large chain on a retail park and asked me to quote them a price for the following work...

Fortnightly exterior doors and windows ( shop entrance only )

Quarterly interior doors and windows (shop entrance only )

6 monthly Exterior main sign ( theres 3 as its an end building , about 35' to the top )

Obviously I would love to get this work but I've never priced anything like this and not quite sure where to start.

Any help is truly appreciated. Thanks

PS the canopies are to be extras as and when requested..... not sure how I would manage them as the deepest one is about 2.7 meters deep.?!?View attachment 4446

I've usually found when someone wants me to sub for them that they tell me the price they will pay me. I had a company approach me from Scotland wanting me to clean a large glazed shop in a big city and they told me the specs and when the start date would be. Nice of them I thought /emoticons/biggrin.png

Ha, Sports direct!! i spoke to William Ferguson ( maintenance ops director) for Sports direct back in October last year & had the opportunity to tender for all UK stores, spas, football grounds they own, instantly thought " ive bitten off more than i can chew ere!!! done a CNC & done a runner  I still have the master tender list in my emails

How could you do all of the UK?

I had a contract to do a competitor stores and knock it on the head as got fed up being messed about being paid, Waiting 3 months to get paid is just taking the **** in anybody’s book.

If you are going to sub for a national contractor then makes sure you know what you are letting yourself in for as they can be worse than dealing with companies directly.

As much as I'd like the job , to be seen and noticed by others and the fact it won't interfere with the round as it stands just now, I plan to state that I will only take it on if it's paid monthly .

I'll be handing them a proposed cleaning schedule for 1 year with each clean date (+ or - 2 days ) ...

Good idea do you think?
