HI guys

is it possible or advisable to use tap water first on really manky windows and frames and then do again with pure water process on first cleans or will this harm the effect in anyway etc etc???

Asking cause picked few more today and really bad on couple and thinking a lot of pure be used and only on trolley system at moment?

cheers

I wouldn't do that, especially in the heat water will dry so quick leaving water marks all over, now that's a pain to remove. Unless your tap tds is really low

I cleaned a house once with tap water first, as it was thick with grime. Wasn't a hot day mind. After getting them to a decent standard, I then used pure and gave them a good scrub and rinse. They came out well and no complaints. So all good and paid straight away.

If you are wanting to offer a pure water wfp window cleaning service then that's what you should offer and not then turn up and ask to use the customers tap to wash the grubby window frames and glass down with tap water first. Sorry if this sounds a bit harsh as I don't mean to be but you just need to invest in the right equipment/tools for the job surely?

Not only that some customers might get the hump you using their own tap water to clean their windows and you could even lose their business for good.

If the amount of pure water is an issue then the other option is to clean the window frames and clean the glass properly instead using the good old fashioned traditional way which by the way does a better job /emoticons/biggrin.png

Surely it depends on various factors. How filthy are they and with what. how high is the tap TDS. What kit does he have and feels ok using.

I had one woman go mental at me for getting tap water on her windows whilst doing an external deep clean. I just blamed frank as you do /emoticons/biggrin.png

Hope you charge extra for franks wages /emoticons/wink.png

Surely these salts can be scrubbed off with pure, or that's admitting pure and a scrub doesn't remove stuff? Or anything but salts/minerals. paul might surprised how little pure it takes with his trolley though, I've done a few first cleans with about 30L, maybe he's imagining 100L jobs?

That's the message I get @Jimroot

Wash with tap water & then saying it would be hard to scrub off with pure. So how does fly **** & birds **** come off with pure???? When it's the bees knees:p:rolleyes:
