There should be virtually no resistance from the DI vessels. I've ran through two on my van for about 12 years & all that time I've run my pump off the van battery with no issues. You need a controller & top of the range battery though.
What controller do you use Winp? Had a fab first day using the set up being talked about. I beasted this in just over an hour with a small convo at back:

......but I realised that I can't stop the flow of water by turning off the hosepipe like I used to and had to walk back to van to turn it off.......well I could let the pressure build up and go back on itself but not sure everything in the van would appreciate that too much - especially the pump.

Working like this had its positives though as I worked at a much faster speed as I didn't want anything to go to waste!

Cheers fella - sorry to keep asking questions

Porridge for breakfast?

It's a well known fact since wfp was first used that flow rate is the key for being able to work faster.

Look at the flow rate this guy is using /emoticons/biggrin.png

Funnily enough - yes mate!

Made home made porridge type thing last night. Roasted some oats, seeds, raisins, cinnamon .....& 'stuff' in the oven last night so had that for brekkie - feckin beautiful mate.

I actually had very little to do with making it - got shouted at to stir it every 20mins.

Then missed lunch today (unlike me) but gonna make up for it now..........and because I'm a bit of a weirdo when it comes to cereal I have my daily bowl full just before bed /emoticons/smile.png

He's got a bit of force going on those windows - I would stand a bit closer to them myself. You can see the pole bending with the strain of the water / angle.

Love the waterfall he's got going on in the background at the start. 'Ye.....I gotta bit ov nick strain so iv now got my pump set at 500......'

Cold toast with butter and apricot jam for me this morning

That neck thing looks like a good idea though!

And that flow rate! Wow!

Also @Alien Human i always stand further back, less strain on the neck, and more pressure on the glass giving better scrubbing power.

as a ltd user of pure that vid sent me mad....all that wasted water..

great to hear you like a bowl of cereal before bed alien as my wife goes mad when I do that but often happens...

oh and ta tuffers...I actually got your pinch the pipe method to work today...must have been the heat...works great../emoticons/biggrin.png

and so back to the post before gav puts me on the naughty step..

oh jake love calling this site wcf ....not such a mouthful...bit like cnc:D

I use a MKI digital Varistream however, I don't think I would buy the current Varistream (MKII). When this one dies I will probably go with a Spring analogue controller like this...

I carry a necprotech in the van as is good bit of kit if your having to look up for long periods.

True - with a good light pole......but that thing reminds me of my first 33ft pole which was effectively just a tall heavy banana.

hmmm yes banana went full stretch for one window today...

its a good job no one was around..

I had to use all my might to break the glue that had nicely glued the section together when I glued the clamp the other day..

Come on cheap it's time for a proper pole, split that banana and throw it away

This is my current one Winpo - looks quite similar to yours:

......but if you turn off your water at the end of the hose while working at a back of a house does your current pump in your van go into dead end mode?

Mine doesn't and I'm a bit worried about build up of pressure, bit of a waste of water etc.

Gardiners also do a pump & controller with a radio control which could be a good option:

Have you got your controller correctly calibrated? The pressure cut off usually needs to be turned down a peg or two in warmer weather. Mine is calibrated to perfection, when I disconnect my pole hose the pump cuts off approx 5/6 seconds after. This allows a slight build up of pressure so when I reconnect there is no lag in flow- as the flow begins instantly via the pressure (but without a massive burst of pressure) while the pump kicks in a second or two later. I suspect your controller's Dead end calibration is set too high- it only works to the input set by the user.

Winp you legend!

Had to google how to recalibrate a pump and found the answer from a post back in 2011 on this forum:

http://windowcleaningforums.co.uk/threads/hydroflow-pump-controller.157/

Just had a bash and everything is now working - top man
