Anyone use Facebook to promote business

I set up a Facebook page and after a few months I get a message from them saying they've locked my account. They want me to verify with passport or driving licence!!! Like I'm giving them that kinda info. It would have been easier setting it up as a f•#•ing terrorist

They asked me to set it up as a business. Do you pay for this?

you dont pay to have a business page on FB . but you must have it set up as a business page[not as a personal page] if you are a business

iv raked in some very good work on FB , probably a third of my round ,a sizeable chunk . advertizing is cheap on FB ,cheaper than your local newspaper by over 50%

I originally set it up as a small business but it never asked for any personal id but now I've had to link it to my personal account

Got a text last night from a customer who saw my facebook page, I've picked up about 10 jobs from this, I didn't pay for my page you just link it up to your own account.

You can however advertise on there it's expensive at £7 per day however the ad could potentially be seen by 1 million people in Birmingham and the surrounding areas in my case. My work on there was obtained by joining social group pages.

it doesnt go per day goes by views ie 100 vies 1 pound for example

it works very well

also theyve locked u out as if u have set up a personal page as a business

they done it to me and chabged me to s business page so i use my personal profile to share my posts of the biz page on local groups

You can change the amount you want to pay per day for advertising on Facebook.

The more you push the more it will be seen.

I've paid to have the page promoted and paid to have a certain post promoted.

The post promotion was more successful in my eyes. Also your posts seem to get a lot more views if you attach a photo to the post rather than just text.

I get loads of work off facebook, it's better if you post pictures and change them regularly

I get loads from facebook from social groups and local swap and sell sites etc

Only ever boost a post not the site

Only boosted once but get work constantly just from posting links on groups
