Who's knackered from the heat

I put in normal days this week. Wednesday i finished at 2.30pm but if my work wasnt done i would have just packed away anyway.

Today we did Gutter Vac - Conny Roof - FSG Clean - Quotes - Then onto windows.

Lasted for a whole house then called it a day!

I am feeling it a little bit tbh! Full on day tomorrow doing bloody car showrooms then a few pubs. Saturday sees us doing 3 pressure washing jobs.

Next stop. Burnt out city /emoticons/sad.png

After this weekend, brakes are going on.

This week i have turned down a lot of work if it doesnt even sound remotely good.

You on Twitter @Damo V2 For your work?
I have twitter, never really used it. Maybe 1 or 2 tweets. A few competitors have upped their games but 95% of work comes from website.

Today has seen 4 emails 2 calls and 1 text message. Out of this we have quoted one (care home gutter vac) Going to be a nightmare of a job /emoticons/sad.png

I started using it late last year and boy it's been worth it, website is great, and that my main source of work, but Twitter is worth getting for sure

No plans for expansion at the moment, quite happy in the situation i have. Its a very very very very good life /emoticons/wink.png

Same here, I can't keep up! But I think it's a very good way to establish a relationship with your community, not just the work...

I have tried with Facebook.

I went down the branding route instead.

Large easy to remember logo and corporate branding. Worked a treat.

Never bothered with Facebook, and yes branding is key, Twitter is a good part of branding these days

Easy to remember... Hmm lgb isn't the easiest, letters that dont create a sentence can be difficult to remember...

We have lots of new build around here. Building for next 7 years so they say. Jan last year we had zero houses. Just about to top 300 this year. Logo is large on vans, so people spot the logo from a mile away.

I am just about to have my van redone though with different vinyl, looking at wraps. Awaiting new van for Dad and then replacing subbie van (maybe)

Fair enough, sounds good, I have the same, very bold logo, but my brand is short, different, and people don't foget it, too many round my way have initials etc, but that can seem a bit boring I suppose

I use twitter just for the footy but Intruiged about how you can use it to market your business. Is it a matter of opening up an account under your business name, adding photos and some info and then waiting for the custies to contact you?.

Have a look @zealwindowclean

It's getting a balance of work/personal stuff so people can start to get to 'know' you a bit, I've picked up 12 jobs from it since I started, but I mainly decided to do it as its a great way of 'showing off' what work your doing, and builds a constant image of the company in the local area...

How has subbing work gone for you @Damo V2 ? Something I've been thinking about for a while, but my concern would be trusting someone to be of good character/reliable and not back stabbing...

I'm also worries the standard of work would drop as the Subbie probably isn't gonna be as bothered as the owner!!??

re post I thought not bothering me with my new energy pills thought doing okay here but..

when wifey goes off to work at six I try to stay awake whilst I finish my cuppa...

and usually fail ...now if not tired I awake one hourish later...

if tired ...as I must be today...three hours later..

mind you ...my chair is comfy...

quick off to work..../emoticons/biggrin.png

How has it gone???

Stolen work, constant complaints, snapped poles, van damage. Its great mate!

Left with ONE chap who will farm out work to now.

I don't think window cleaning will expand for us now

You can make it work. The problem is they have little to no work when they sub. THEN they get their own work and more of it. Then they see working for you as a choir rather than food on the table.

I don't care it helped me out when when we needed it.
