Sounds like a daft question I know, but I have a block of flats to clean and 2 of the areas don't have sockets within reaching distance, so the question is, what would you use instead to clean these area's other than the obvious brush and dustpan, has anyone used cordless vacuum's ie Gtech airram or has any anyone maybe used an invertor and 12v battery on a trolley which was one idea i thought about ?

Ideas folks ?

Thanks for the reply.

It's an ongoing contract and running cables isn't really an option, really needs to be in the room with me if possible Luke.

Sound like a lot of hassle to me so why bother doing it at all if they can't provide you with power.

Extension cable?

Well just get them to put power sockets in the building where you need them for ffs /emoticons/biggrin.png

There you go then just tell them you can only do what you can until they sort the power out /emoticons/wink.png

They'll say theirs the door i would imagine, I'm sure for the sake of the price of an inverter i can power this using the leisure battery (bit of overkill i know) that powers my wfp trolley, but I already had it laying about.

I can't see a battery with an invertor last very long myself as a vac is at least 1400 watts.

not trying to sound daft, but is the area carpeted?

We have priced up common area (blocks of flats) to be cleaned and it was concrete, just a brush then mop

Pressure washer, long reach pole and a gutter bend on the end, pull the trigger and profit.

It'll spread some **** about mind.

One area is carpeted, the other is tiled and the fine grit etc is a nightmare to pick up with a brush and pan.
