Last job today, I got bitten by a dog! Only a diddy one. I was so surprised I didn't know what to do! If I had kicked it, I would have killed it.

I never had a fear of dogs...

I have been bitten twice by Terriers. Both times I was in police uniform.

Guess they didn't like coppers very much!

Never had a problem in this job though. Even big ones seem to get to know you and all is well. I was cleaning some windows one day and the household Rottweiler was laying in the sun watching. As I moved around the house he would get up and follow me, then lay down again to watch.

Suddenly he took off snarling towards the gates. There was a guy stood from some charity or other looking like he had soiled himself. Poor chap.

The Rotty was going crazy. I had never seen him like that before or since.

I just open the gates and drive in. He comes up. I pat him, ruff him up around his neck a bit, make a fuss of him. No problem.

Hope the bite was not too bad mate.

Cheers man. Tiny bite. Drew blood though. Just had a tetanus jab.

I've always just approached dogs, on the understanding that if you show know fear, they'll leave you alone.

I was wrong.

I have always been like that..take no notice of them and they ignore you..except rhodesian ridgebacks..had a run in with 2 of them once..not their fault as the owners just stood there properly yelling at them so you can see how they have been brought up

Now if i see a staffie i won't even slow down walking into their gardens..i seem to have a good understanding of how they react as i have grown up with them..all mouth no trousers unless there are kids in the garden as then they go into protection mode so hang back and talk to the dog till he susses you out. .then no issue

I got away with the dog that attacks my feet today...ever since we have had a collie I think he can smell him so Im okay../emoticons/biggrin.png

There's one on my round that hates me! One of those tiny ones that quiver! He sneaks up on me nips my trouser leg then runs away, hides and prepares himself for the next attack. Quite annoying! Customer thinks it's hilarious.

Some dogs hate ladders! Can't work out why. Anyone?

Glad it wasn't too bad @SPC still not nice though.

bloomin hate some jobs where the bloomin dog just follows me from window to window yappin like mad and the custy doesnt seem to hear it..

me feels guilty even though Im only trying to do my job..
